Magic Box, Wednesday
Andrew had a stack of books and printouts sitting on the counter.
Not for the first time that day, he asked himself, "Why is jet propulsion so confusing?"
The Magic Box was open!

The Magic Box was open!

...the problem being that witches (other than Her) didn't really advertise and he wasn't about to start asking everyone and their sister if they were a witch.
Or if they weighed more or less than a duck. But Liir did have logic at his disposal and as he'd popped in once before and seen a bunch of things that he didn't know what they were or what they did and seemed vaguely esoteric, he decided that a place named the Magic Box might be a good place to find a witch.Or at least someone who might be able to help him figure out what he could need.
As such, he slipped in the door again, this time with a bit more purpose and a little less desperation... and was just a little bit surprised to find Andrew at the counter.
It did make him smile, though. He lifted his chin and pulled his bag around to reach into the pocket to find something as he got out a greeting.
"Morning."

He hopped up and came around to the front of the counter. "Just out and about?"
no subject
"I didn't know you worked here, but it was a nice surprise."
Now he was taking a look at Andrew, thinking about what Karal had asked him. Did he want to kiss him? Cuddle him? Did he think he was attractive?
Finally, he found it as he pulled the little bag from his satchel.
"Cookie?"
He had a load of them from baking with Lulu last night.

Andrew's eyes went wide at the sight of the cookies. "Yes, please," he said, holding a hand out.

"They're hazelnut with chocolate in the middle. We did a few other things, but this is the easiest to carry around."
He looked around the store as he pulled one of the cookies up to take a bite for himself.
"So... things in this store are for magic?"
no subject
Andrew followed Liir's glance about the store. "Some of them are. Some of the things are just for fun or show though," he said, pointing towards a display of outlandish looking hats.
"Did you make the cookies in class?"
no subject
"Miss Lulu invited me to her apartment to show me how to make some other things. I was curious since they're so good and I wanted to know how so I could make them for other people. She said I could have some since I helped make them."
He glanced around again before peering at Andrew curiously.
"Do you know anything about magic? Or memory?"

It was actually quite easy to find him, seeing as Karal knew where he worked. "Andrew?" he said hesitantly, once he'd come inside the store.

He rubbed at his chest. "Slowly."

And stood staring at the shelves of herbs. "My old teacher could spend many a day here, and would need to be barred from the shop when you closed," he informed Andrew.

"What sort of school did you go to?"

"I just went to a regular public school -- Sunnydale High School. It's pretty typically American, full of cliques, ran by the beautiful people..."
