Still not too thrilled about the whole cheerleader deal, but other than that, Faith was in a pretty sweet mood. And since it seemed to be warming up nicely for January (wtf, Fandom?) that meant she could get away with wearing a t-shirt instead of long sleeves or a coat. Good times.

Caritas was open.

Having caught up on radio, Brooke was thinking it wasn't fair that someone else had had more fun as her than she had last weekend- which only made sense when she wasn't trying to make sense of it- and that she had to make up for it. Yesterday was a start.

She sat down at the bar, smirking. "Nice shirt, but I hope cash'll do."

"Cash is fine," Faith grinned. "I'm easy like that. What're you drinking tonight?"

"Let's go with a vodka collins today," she said. "Expand my horizons a little."

"Nothing like a little experimentation," Faith nodded, grabbing a few bottles and pouring. She slid a tall, nearly clear glass over when she was done. "Bad weekend?"

"Not bad if you like boring and vanilla," said Brooke, taking the drink. "And then I hear radio and think that every once in a while it's nice to be the one all up on the high ground."

"It'd be easier to blackmail in this town if it weren't for that radio," Faith said, frowning. "I spent the weekend as a freaking cheerleader. Makes me wanna set things on fire."

"Hey," Brooke said, "there is nothing wrong with cheerleaders. There's a reason we've got certain reputations, you know."

Renee sure hoped that shirt didn't apply to her.

"Cute. No mustache rides?"

Faith snickered. "Okay, so I kinda wish I could've kept the costume. Something real trampy about it."

"They do have their uses," said Brooke. "Not that I would know anything about that, of course."

"This hot girl I'm banging got all huffy about that one," Faith grinned. "I thought this one was a little more classy. Better font and everything."

"Course not," Faith grinned. "You seem the real innocent type. You and me both, right there." She lifted her own Jack-and-Coke in a toast.

Brooke lifted her own drink before taking a sip. "Brooke, by the way."

"Faith," she nodded. "Except when I'm in cheerleader mode, 'cause then I'm Missy or some shit."

"Woman," Renee corrected, lighting up a cigarette. "The woman you're banging."

Faith leaned over the bar, smirking. "Maybe there's some hot little jailbait slut who don't like the shirt, either."

"Missy," she repeated, thinking pretty much that that name just didn't fit. "Now the important question is, did you know where you belonged in the pyramid?"

"Really?" That got Renee to raise an amused eyebrow. "Looking at the students now?"

Faith grinned at that. "That supposed to sound kinky? I'm picturing all the cheerleaders havin' their own slang for this shit, now."

Faith sighed. "Promised Dawnie I wouldn't. Then I did this weekend anyway. Doesn't count as underage if I was some kid, too, does it?"

"Really? Who'd you turn into?" Because anything was better than some soldier.
