Anders, as soon as he'd taped up the zombies, gotten everything ready, and opened Caritas for the night, was nibbling on sponge cake behind the bar.

He kind of felt like he was missing something. Though he didn't manage to pinpoint that something as "watching the sun bake all of those tourists covered with oil."

Oh well.

For having that song stuck in my head while I was trying to figure out what to write here.

Up kinda early on account of my heading out shortly for a few hours and not sure how much I'll be able to be around until later in the evening.

Jack was here, limping a bit. Stepped on a pop top.

Johnny sat down at the bar and ordered a beer.

Hoshi was bored, so she found herself at Caritas trying to remember the name of that fruity pink drink that Faith introduced her to.

I will always love that song, mainly because a couple years ago I was walking through Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville in Las Vegas when my district manager called my cell phone to offer me a new job.

Annette was still wearing her strapless gown from the Host Club dance this afternoon, when she walked into Caritas tonight. She was in a good mood and feeling extremely mellow (thanks to the hidden little bottle in her room) and ready to enjoy her evening.

Sitting down at the bar, she smiled and looked around.

Chris and Summer had decided that they needed to get out of their dorm room for a change and headed down to Caritas to hang out.

"I think this was definitely a good idea," Summer said after ordering a drink.

"Definitely," Chris agreed, beer in hand.

Lana showed up to tell Anders about having gotten into University of New Haven. She might have been a little excited.

Johnny noticed Lana and gave her a slight wave and friendly smile.

The zombies suddenly stopped what they were doing and started playing a different song as a voice started singing from off-stage...

I am your mother
I'm lady chatterly
Or lady chastity
Or some anonymous lover

... and then appeared on the stage...

Lana waved at him and held up her envelope triumphantly. "I got in!"

He grinned wide, figuring that she was referring to college. "First drink is on me!"

Lana was surprised to see Chris here since it was Ander's night to work at Caritas. She made her way over. "Hey. I didn't expect to see you here."

Whoa. Wait, what?

Was that...

Oh dear god.

Hoshi waved. "I haven't seen you in a while," she said.

"I'm an expensive date," she warned teasingly. "Think you can afford a coke?"

"Hey," Chris said, giving her a hug. "Yeah, I know, but Summer and I decided we didn't feel like sitting around all night. I promise to behave."

"Nice dress," commented Hoshi.

Chris's jaw dropped.

He hadn't had that much to drink, had he?

"So, how are classes?" Summer asked, attempting to make conversation.
