Caritas Pt. II [Saturday Evening]

After the whole Three Minute Date thingie, Robin figured people would need their booze. Badly.

So she was still behind the bar, though she'd enlisted Tino to help her.

[I might be kinda slow, so mod Tino for speedier service kthnx. This is for AFTER all the crazy 3MD action, whooo!]

After the dating was done, Doom decided to come back to the bar and get some more chocolate milk. It was really delicious. He'd have to write a letter of commendation to the proprietor of the fine establishment. Or maybe just find him and give him a high five.

Sokka didn't really drink much. But he was in a bar, and had only met one new lady in the date-thing, and had struck out pretty badly with Jenny. Plus, Mel was still around here somewhere and had offered to buy him a drink.

Still, he had no idea what any drinks were called, so he grasped for the first thing he could think of, and went up to the bar. "Martini," he ordered. "Shaken, not stirred."

Probably not what a novice drinker should be having.

Andros hadn't felt the need to drink before the dates but after he finished he came over to the bar and ordered something that was alcoholic even though he didn't really know what everything was.

His dates hadn't been bad, if mostly without success, so Lucas hung out by the bar afterwards, hoping to meet some more people while he sipped a beer.

Robin took one look at him and snorted. "Okay, um, gin or vodka?"

Biff grinned at the pretty bartender.

Even though he was ordering drinks for him and Ghanima.

Biff liked to live on the edge.

"I need two drinks that are pink and fruity. One needs to have two umbrellas in it, please."

Biff wasn't the only one smiling at the pretty bartender. Ghani was completely about equal opportunity flirting tonight.

Especially if she could do it innocently from behind Biff, so he couldn't see. "Mine is the two-umbrella one. Very fruity and very girly, if you please."

Robin was a little suspicious of all the smiling. But hey, maybe the tips would be better this way.

"Any reason for there being two?"

"Secure in your masculinity?" Robin asked, smiling back and making a pair of strawberry daiquiris.

Sokka just kind of stared at her and blinked a few times. He had NO idea how to respond to that.

Then he leaned in a little closer. "Okay, I'm sure you can probably tell, but I'm not exactly much of a drinker. Just make me something that tastes good, as long as it has a decent kick to it."

"Because I wanted to see if he would actually order them, and I can't back out now," she explained, poking at Biff. "I knew he had no shame, but I didn't realize he'd be so brazen."

"Sweetie, if you don't drink, why do you want something with a kick?" Robin asked, sighing.

People should not have jobs.

"Oh yes, you guys are living on the edge, with your multiple umbrellas," Robin said dryly, grinning. "You guys a product of my totally awesome 3-minute-matchmaking?"

No, we should not. I didn't sit down for FIVE HOURS today. FIVE.

Rikku and Seregil were still chatting when they reached the bar, hitting up Tino for refills. "So ... like, are there people who can guess? The whole inner-nature thing. Anybody tell you right before it happened 'I'm calling otter' or anything fun like that?"

Sokka facepalmed. "Is this or is this not a bar??? I'm here, might as well drink, right? Something stronger than a Shirley Temple, but not, like, STRONG strong. Just... Something, okay?"

Rikku waved to the guy from the common room. "Hey! I promise I won't say Dooooooooom this time."

She wasn't mocking him, in saying it. She really was that dim.

Sokka blinked at Doom. He was almost afraid to ask.

"So... What were you doing at the date thing, anyway?"

"Not that I know of," Seregil said. "Even my mas- Nysander didn't know and if anyone would, it would be him."

"Rikku! Give Doom a high five!" Doom requested as he held his hand up.

This new Doom was big on high fives.
