Lana was still in a rather wonderful mood when she opened up the bookstore and set out the pastries and hot drinks. Once that was done she curled up in one of the comfy chairs with a romance novel set, well where else? In the Mediterranean.

Andrew had been neglecting his comic book purchases, opting for free scans online. But they just weren't the same.

So he decided to pop into Book Haven to see what they had to offer.

Lana smiled at him. "Hi. Can I help you?"

"Hi, Lana," Andrew said, smiling back. He walked over and plopped down in one of the comfy chairs near her.

"Just stopping in to look at some comics. How have you been?"

"I'm good," she said with a smile. "Really good, actually. Just finding it a bit hard to get back into the swing of school and work. How are you doing?"

"Have you been gone?" he asked. "Or did you just have a really awesome winter break?"

"Chris and I left Thursday afternoon for a long weekend at this private little villa in the mediterranean that my guardian owns," Lana said with a smile. "Three and a half days of sun, sand, relaxing, and, um..." she remembered her conversation with Ino, "'scrubbing the floor'." She grinned teasingly.

"Oh." He paused.

"Well, it was really nice of you to go clean it up for your guardian," he said. "I hope you made Chris do his fair share of the scrubbing though."

Lana grinned. "Oh, believe me, he did his fair share. And enjoyed it very much."

"Huh. Good to know," Andrew said. "I've been meaning to give my room a good scrubbing down. Maybe I'll invite Chris over if he, you know, likes it so much."

"Oh, I don't think Chris scrubs that way," Lana said with a grin.

"But you just..."

"Ahhh. No. That kind of scrubbing is reserved for my boyfriend." Andrew blushed.

"See... somehow I thought you wouldn't want Chris doing your scrubbing. Not to mention how jealous I'd be," Lana said with a smile.

"Though I haven't seen your boyfriend in a while, so let him know I've been thinking about him." He nodded.

"In a totally non-scrubby way," he added quickly.

John entered the shop on a mission to make a purchase. "Hey Lana, how's the book business?"

"Not bad," Lana said with a smile. "How are you doing? I haven't seen you in a while."

"I've been good, keeping busy," John said, returning her smile. "How 'bout yourself?"

"I had a really fabulous long weekend away," Lana said. "Came back rested, relaxed and really tan."

John looked her over, "That is a really nice tan. Did you hit the beach?"

She nodded. "Spent the weekend at a little private villa in the mediterranean. Sun, sand, water, and um... 'scrubbing floors'..."

Yes, she was still remembering her promise to Ino to use her new euphemism and wait to see their face once they realized what she really meant.

John laughed, "Is that what everyone's are calling it these days? I'm really out of the loop." He was going to use that one. "What's that you're reading?"

"Ino and I thought it was a fun phrase," Lana said with a smile. "And I'm reading a romance novel set in the mediterranean. Sort of trying to keep the weekend feeling going, you know?"

"That's not a half bad idea," he said, thinking he could certainly add to his intended purchase. "Are there any romance novels with 'diary' in the title?"

"Probably tons," she said, getting up to go over to the correct section. "Oh yeah, look." She pointed out a number with diary in the title. "And there's probably a lot more."

"Oh these are perfect," John grinned, selecting a couple books at random. "Now, the real reason I'm here. Do you happen to sell journals or diaries?"

"Oh, of course," Lana said, leading the way. "Right over in this section."
