Hey, it'd been one of those weeks. Which was why Anders had staked out a bottle all to himself and had set up behind the bar, working on building his very own pyramid of used shot glasses.

Next week had to be better, right?

Lana wandered in shivering and cold after spending the afternoon out on the rocks. She also still looked fairly miserable. "Hey, Anders. Got anything warm here?"

"Irish coffee sound good?" asked Anders, frowning. "Am I gonna have to give you the frowny face for possibly making yourself sick?"

"Irish coffee would be wonderful," Lana said and then shrugged. "Maybe? I just... needed to be out."

"I understand that," Anders replied, busying himself with the coffee -- mmm, coffee. "Just . . . try and stay warm while you do it next time, huh? What's going on, Lana?"

He knew her well enough by now to know that this sort of thing was a bit of a warning sign.

"I had a warm coat and a blanket," she protested weakly. "But I probably shouldn't have stayed out so long."

She sighed and played with one of the napkins, tearing at the edges. "I think Chris and I might be breaking up."

Ronan made his way into Caritas. His brain was... perhaps less broken than he'd have expected, but he still felt the need to drink away the weirdness. "Hey, Anders," he said, coming up to the bar. "... Start me off with a double shot of dark rum, and then a Guinness."

"Hey, R --" Anders hadn't been looking up, rummaging for a new jar of olives beneath the counter as he was, and he'd been a little too distracted to realize right away that the voice was . . . off.

He popped up and stared. Right at the cleavage, because it happened to be at his eye level right when his attention re-focused.

"Ronan. You've . . . grown."

Ronan looked down, a bit woefully. "... Yeah, I noticed," he said. "Woke up this way. Am hoping to wake up in my own body tomorrow."

"Oooh," Anders said sympathetically. "Random Fandom weirdness, huh? Is it . . . are you feeling kinda topheavy and off balance today? Sorry, I had to know."

Xander wanders up to the bar with Bridge in tow, except not literally because that would require, like, a truck or a wagon or something. Or at least a skateboard. None of which Xander has anymore. But he has a barstool and a boyfriend, ok, is the point.

Bridge has a motorcycle! Though towing things on a motorcycle is admittedly more difficult than with a truck. And also not an indoor activity. Which is why he's also with the having of a barstool and a boyfriend and also a bartending best friend who will perhaps bring them booze?

Xander would be fine with or without the booze, really. It's been a good weekend, and you enjoy those when you can get 'em. He spins a bit on his stool and grins at Bridge. "I wonder if Anders would make a, like, a Twinkie-flavored Kahlua."

"You are a mad genius," Bridge proclaims. "That might be even better than the Twinkie ice cream. Or perhaps not better, because there's some situations where alcohol is good and still others where ice cream is preferable, but at least on par."

"Bridge!" Ronan said, grinning. He's a little bit tipsy, maybe although covering well. Or perhaps he's just got a high tolerance for alcohol. "How's it going?"

At the very least, he seems a little more comfortable with his... growth. As Anders put it.

"Hey, um," Bridge gives the woman he doesn't know an odd look. "Hi?" he squeaks.

"Oh! Right. Ronan. Fandom weirdness strikes again." He looked down, not so woefully as before. "Woke up with these this morning. Well, with the whole body, really, that's all new, but these are the parts that really seem to draw the attention."

... Okay, yeah, maybe he's a little tipsy.

After his conversation with Ronan, Bridge finds himself frowning thoughtfully down at his drink. Except for how "at his drink" suddenly seems to have become "at Xander".

Xander, enjoying twinkie-flavored goodness, takes a moment to notice; when he does, he peers over the rim of his glass. "What? Did you want more of mine?"
