Groovy Tunes; Monday [ 03/17 ]

Eventually, Chad had come around to the fact that, somehow, in the course of events, he had missed a day, and today was Monday, which meant he had work today, so there he was. It was a little bit surreal, he had to admit, sitting behind a counter and flipping idly through a magazine after all that had happened. Surreal, but nice.

Today's mix: Couldn't Be More Random If I Tried

He was thinking he needed a mix specifically for when these things got concluded...

Yeah, that definitely earned Teddy a light kiss back, as well as a murmured, "Dork."

"But a likeable dork," Teddy added.

"Yeah, yeah, okay," Chad, were he more expressive, might have rolled his eyes. "You got me there. You got any idea when you might want to do this thing, then?"

"I-- I dunno. Whenever a good weekend for you is?"

Chad nodded a little. "Well, then that means whenever's good for you, but I'll keep an eye out for anything coming up with football or cheerleading..."

"Cool." Teddy gave him another kiss. "I'll figure it out."

"Cool; hey, maybe if something happens with the agencies this week, we could even schedule it around that."

Chad was a bit reluctant to suggest that, though, as if the wishful thinking would only curse him.

"That-" Teddy grinned. "Would be perfect."

"Yeah, it would..." Despite himself, Chad grinned a little wistfully, but shook his head a little as if to get rid of it. "Not gonna let myself lean on that, though. Too much of a longshot..."

"Oh please, they'd have to blind not to see potential in you."

"I know that," Chad said, firmly, so that Teddy didn't think he was just being down on himself. "But, I mean, I also know it doesn't always work that way."

Pause.

"I mean, you saw Cycle 9, didn't you?"

Another pause.

"And don't even get me started on that class..."

"Like that counts for real modeling." Not that Teddy watched the shows when Chad wasn't around.

Really.

"Okay, good point," Chad allowed, "an' all the potential there does get voted off early, but..."

Chad trailed off as he realized that he didn't have much of argument there at all and was too busy getting a sort of self-satisfaction about how that class ended up in the long run, anyway.

"Fell better?" Teddy asked, rolling his eyes.

Chad was quiet for a moment.

A long moment.

"....yes," he finally admitted, in a barely audible mutter.

Leaning in, Teddy gave him another soft kiss. "See? Likeable."

Chad returned that soft kiss with something a bit more lingering. "Yeah, but you're biased."
