Pizza Planet, Monday 2/24

Tom was a little cheerier than he had been upon coming to work today. He'd finally found a use for the copious amounts of leftover ham from the Scavo family Easter dinner, and Lynette had been back to her usual self last night.

Bowls of chocolate eggs sat on each table and at the counter, free for customers to take.

Today's Specials:
Omelette Pizza
- Pizza crust topped with scrambled eggs, ham, green peppers, and cheddar cheese
Piggy Pizza- Pizza with ham, bacon, and pork sausage

Pizza Planet is open!

[SP until around 5 PM Eastern time. Please mod your service if you can't wait. Starting a new job today, which is why this is up so early. Sigh.]

A.J. lead Annette, at his arm, into the pizza shop and drifted toward one of the booths. "This work for you?" he asked her.

"Perfect as perfect can be," she said and slid into a booth. "And wow, isn't this like living a moment all over again." Well, almost.

"Is it?" A.J. asked, tilting his head slightly as he slid in across from Annette. "My memory's not that good. Is it total deja vu?"

"Well, I don't know. Maybe a little Rex Manning will spark your memory," she said, teasing. Or maybe not. Annette could just be wicked like that.

"Hey," A.J. said, giving Annette a firm look and holding a finger at her to increase the firmness of his point, "that can't come in until at least a little bit later. You can't just go rushing into Rex Manning. People could get hurt."

"Right," she said with a firm nod, looking totally serious. "I so meant that. Later. After the great big huge pepperoni pizza we're going to eat. Then you can sing and dance on the table and I will shove a dollar bill in your pants pocket."

"Aw, sweet," A.J. said, fighting against a smirk. "I didn't realize I was getting paid for this, too. Just pepperoni, huh? Anything else?"

"Uhhh, think of it as an... incentive," she smiled and folded her arms across the edge of the table. "And that's all I care for unless you want something else?"

"Just pepperoni is fine with me," A.J. said, nodding in approval. "Can't mess with a classic, right? What do you want to drink?"

Annette nodded, "Right. Um root beer."

"You always get root beer," A.J. observed with a small tilt of his head.

"It's my favorite soda, A.J.," she said, giving him a small smile.

"I guess so," A.J. said. "I should make you a root beer milkshake one of these days. Although, really, I guess that'd kind of just be a root beer float, but, you know what? It'll be the best damn root beer float ever."

"Mm, I love root beer floats so I imagine a root beer float would be awesome, especially if made by you."

"You'll have to come by Wednesday and get one, then, if you're not busy."

"I will, because now I have a craving for one," she replied as she dug into her pocket book for quarters.

[identity profile] by137.livejournal.com 2008-03-25 01:11 am (UTC)(link)
"What are the quarters for?" A.J. asked and then, as soon as he asked it, rolled his eyes in realization. "Right, juke box, yeah?"

Re: Mod your service [2/24]

[identity profile] misshargrove.livejournal.com 2008-03-25 01:13 am (UTC)(link)
"D'uh," she giggled and dropped several on the table. "Wanna go and pick me out a song?"

Re: Mod your service [2/24]

[identity profile] by137.livejournal.com 2008-03-25 01:14 am (UTC)(link)
A.J. smirked, leaning over the table a little with a quirk of his eyebrow. "You really want to pick you out a song?"

She leaned forward also. "Yeah, I really want you to pick me out a song."

"Okay," A.J. sucked in a breath, shaking his head as his hand went over the quarters to collect them up and dump them into his other hand off the edge of the table. "Don't say I didn't warn you."

He slid out of the booth to head toward the juke box.

A little bit later, A.J. grinned widely in accomplishment over the fact that he managed to slide back into the booth just as the first, tell-tale chords of Jimi Hedrix's Foxy Lady started to play.

Whaaat? He was a nerd.

As soon as Annette heard the first few chords, her mouth parted and she grinned wide, shaking her head. "Omigod you are a total goof."
