Trooper Station: Wednesday

Dale is back at his desk and is reflecting on the events of Friday and Saturday as he goes over the reports from the troopers regarding the increase of prepubescentĀ children that had occurred over the weekend.

There's a cup of coffee and a jelly dougnut on his desk, his voice recorder is filled with observations and there's a small grin on his face as he knows that everything in the universe is exactly as it should be.

Or at least as close as it gets here in Fandom.

Roy's mood this week had definitely been better. He made his way out of his office, mug in one hand as he was apparently in search for a refill. "Cooper."

If it had been Havoc, it would have been grating. It was different with Dale however. "Heard anything from Montoya yet?" Roy asked.

Roy nodded and headed for the coffee pot. "Thanks for letting me know," he said, referring to the voicemail Cooper had left. "Everyone is in one piece?"

Later that afternoon, an annoyed-looking Melody popped her head into the trooper station. "Hi, is this where I would report a crime?"

"Yeah, I mean, now that I've showered I am," Melody said, fluttering a little. "I'm just mad and wanted to do something about it."

"Hot chocolate?" Melody asked hopefully, sitting down. "Thanks."

Smiling for a moment at being back behind her desk, Renee opened a drawer to look over the last files she had worked on.

It was odd and yet very easy to get back into the flow of things.

She couldn't have gotten into the flow for very long before there was a knock on the door. "Detective," came the short greeting. "My office."

He didn't wait for a response and already headed back to his office.

She stood, a small exhale as she ran her hand over the desk and followed him.

"Sheriff."

Roy settled in his chair behind his desk and waited until Renee was in the office too. His eye moved over her for a moment, checking for injuries. "You look to be in once piece," he remarked. "Did you manage to take care of everything at home?"

Other than a few bruises, nothing seemed out of place.

"Yes, sir."

"Dale mentioned that you managed to finish one of your old cases," Roy said after a moment's silence. "I'm just wondering why I have to find all this out from him."

Faith was in a fabulous mood, herself. Renee: back! And she'd had a sleepover guest on Sunday night, of the wee and adorable variety.

She leaned in the doorway to Dale's office. "Hola."

[identity profile] neverfaithful.livejournal.com 2008-04-03 03:18 am (UTC)(link)
"I am!" Faith said. "The little kids running around, they were freaking cute. And we rocked this weekend. Uh. So long as killing a guy doesn't mess up my parole?"

When she put it like that ...

"Self-defense," she nodded. "He was standin' over Renee, about to finish her off. I, uh. I'm not just making that sound pretty, I might've done it if he was kinda nearby and glaring, I mean, he was evil. But he was. And like hell he was gonna take her out."
