Caritas - Friday evening [Open]

Tino decided to try to deal with Jolee by being insanely drunk this evening. Every time he came near Jolee, though, his buzz started to fade. Stupid Jedi thing, he was sure.

Jolee, meanwhile, just smirked and did a crossword puzzle.

Evey had left Karal a completely handwaved message asking him to meet her at Caritas, but got there a bit early.

For awhile, Tino's state of drunkenness amused her, until her third or fourth drink when she started feeling pleasantly fuzzy herself. Then it wasn't even noticeable, really.

Karal had been in the stables, cleaning Trenor's tack, so he was a little late getting the message, and a little late getting to Caritas, and a little out of breath when he sat next to Evey. "Hello," he said, leaning over to kiss her cheek.

"Hiya, luv!" she greeted, beaming at him. Her color was high, and her smile quick, and she was happy to see him.

Karal blinked in surprise, then glanced at Tino, as if asking how many she'd had. When all he got in return was a blank stare, he turned back to Evey. "You seem in very good spirits tonight."

"I'm pukka," she answered cheerfully. "I've been making pals with the barman. The first couple drinks he got me were absolute pants but this one's quite good. How're you?"

"Pukka?" This time his look wasn't 'how many' but 'what did you give her?' and he turned back to Evey in bafflement. "You've been drinking pants?"

"Not actually pants," she laughed, taking another long pull off her drink. "But the drinks weren't good. This one, though, is the dog's bollocks. You should have one."

Johnny sat at the bar and ordered odered a few shots of tequila from the drunk Tino, before he switched off to beer.

Yeah, he was feeling good and the drunk he was working on was much needed.

Jaina showed up at the bar, watching Tino for a moment, and greeting Jolee with "What'd you do to him?"

"I'm being a responsible boss," Jolee said. "He wants to be drunk on the job and I'm not letting it happen. Sure, most people would send their employee home at this point, but this way I can make sure he doesn't destroy his liver by healing his body."

"You think I'm going to risk letting him puke in my bar?" Jolee asked. "Also, this'll annoy him more. AND he's moving product this way. And all I have to do to accomplish all of that is make sure he's healthy."
