The York Gallery; Wednesday [ 05/14 ] -- Exhibit Opening!

Charlotte always found a new exhibit opening to be exciting, and she was a little surprised that she actually wasn't feeling too nervous about this one, either! With the exception of a few of the artist's pastels and wall sculptures, the majority of the Bruce Naigles pieces were scattered aesthetically on the main gallery floor, and her personal favorite took the center position. The table of treats and hors devours was set out, as well as the amazing punch fountain, and everything was ready!

The York Gallery was open!

Properly dressed, Eve was on her cell-phone and changing her voicemail message even though the mun hasn't done it yet as she walked into the gallery.

She was kind of going to miss the old one, but Charlotte? Much with the having a valid point on the lack of professionalism.

"Hi, Eve!" Charlotte was very glad to see the girl, although that might have had a lot to do with pre-opening jitters. "Good to see you made it. Ready for a new exhibit?"

After his shift at the station, Dale arrived at the gallery and began to visit each piece of art, spending a good bit of time rflecting on them.

Charlotte had delicately timed when she would break away a bit to address Dale so that it couldn't be conceived as too early after his arrival to make her seem eager, but not so far after it that it might appear that she was too busy to have noticed him.

"Glad to see you made it!" she commented, although she really had no doubts that he would.

"Good to see you made it, Murdock," Charlotte greeted him with a little wave when she spotted him and she could break away from hostess duties. "I apologize," she added with a nod toward the sculptures, "for their lack of guns."

Although she was thinking a classical Greek sculpture with firearms would make quite the commentary!

Because he couldn't help feeling like he needed to fill up every moment of his time with things he could do absolutely and utterly by himself, Cal decided to check out the art gallery thing that he read about on the diner bulletin board. Looking at statues and stuff. Cool. He could dig it...

Isabel couldn't spend the entire day lazing around and reading trashy novels.

Okay, she could. But in the interest of keeping her brain cells active, she decided to poke her head into the gallery.

She took her time, carefully studying each piece.

After a while, standing still and staring at congregation of Graces at the center of the exhibit, Adah found herself glad she came, thought not because she particularly enjoyed the artistic tribute to something she'd never have. She was glad she came for the picture she now made in the world. Picture it. Snapshot, or perhaps oil on canvas. Title: Imperfection of Nature Contemplates Perfection of Man...

She should appreciate art more, but only for it's irony, she decided.

George Michael was there, stopping by after work also though his was more of a spur of the moment idea. He was pleased to see Mary and wasted no time in walking towards her. "Hey... you're here."

Of course, Charlotte didn't think that she wouldn't, but she was a bit excited and bouncy today.

Amber came to the last exhibit and enjoyed it very much. So she was here again, at this one.

Stopping before The Empress, she found herself studying the sculpture for a given length of time, caught up in the serene quality of the piece.

Spotting a familiar face, Cal had to admit to being a slight bit reluctant. But something about the scene and the gallery and wanting to get the edge off of his encounters with Cassandra, he found himself gravitating toward the Minnesota girl. What was her name...something with an A. Ashley, Allison...

"Amber," he smiled a bit shyly as he approached. "Hey."

Hinata had seen the signs, and been interested enough to come and take a look around. There was a bit more... nudity... than she'd be expecting, but she did have to admit that it was all very well done.

A rather nice spread of completely moddable snacks and drinks are spread out, but, of course, there's a Greek theme (so, so much baklava!).
