Cheerful, windblown, and a little bit tanned from a day of beachgoing on Santorini, Anders made his way back to Fandom just in time to open Caritas.

And got an olive to the head as soon as he got there.

"Aw. You're really gonna miss me when I'm gone, aren't you, Tino?" he asked, and ducked the subsequent olive. "I'm gonna take that as a yes."

One of the zombies is wearing a toga, but don't let that stop you.

Where the bartender has olive juice in his hair, but is kind of disgustingly cheerful despite it.

If Lois was going to talk to the whole school over the radio tonight she was going to have to get a few drinks in her first. Now the important decision: Beer or liquor?

"Um..." Lois tilted her head in thought for a second. "Beer, please."

"You got it," Anders said, setting a bottle on the counter in front of her. "One of the new kids?"

"Thanks," Lois said. She took a swig of her beer before she answered. "Yep. I'm Lois."

"Sam Anders, emphasis on the Anders," he replied. "Just graduated. So -- from this planet, or not? Not that it matters one way or another, I'm just curious."

"Anders," Lois repeated, nodding. "I'm from Earth. And, wow, is it weird I'm used to answering that question already?"

Anders snickered. "Nah. You've been here . . . what, about two weeks now since all of you guys showed up? That just means you're getting into the groove just fine."

"I pride myself on my ability to go with the flow," Lois said, smiling. "What about you? You from this planet?"

"Nope. One hundred percent not," Anders said. "Couldn't tell you how to get to my planet from here, though. I'm pretty sure you haven't heard of Caprica."

Looking over, Jaina greeted her with, "We've driven you to the bar already, huh?"

"Only a little bit," Lois said, smiling. "But I haven't hit the liquor. I haven't been that traumatized...yet."

"Then Fandom's not working hard enough," Jaina grinned. "You did notice the zombies, right?"

"I noticed a bunch of creepy looking guys, yes," Lois said, looking over at them. "But I didn't know they were zombies. I'm guessing that's not a clever euphemism for smelly guys from New Jersey?"

"Nope. Well, they do smell, and I'm not sure where they originate from, but," she said with a shrug. "And wow, the one looks fetching in that toga. I'll have to tell him later."

"He does have some pretty fetching legs," Lois said. She took a swig of her beer. "For a dead guy."

"I really have to hand it to you. I don't think I've seen anyone take this place in stride as well as you are," Jaina admitted, sipping her own drink.

Usually Jaina went to Caritas on the nights she knew Jolee was there, but far be it from her to get stuck in a rut. Taking a seat at the bar, she said, "Can I get a Coke?"

"Just a Coke?" Anders flashed her a thumbs-up. "You got it." If there was a lot of ice in the glass, it was just because ~~his player is dying of heat~~ he got a little enthusiastic about the ice scoop.

"What can I say, I'm simple," said Jaina ~~whose player feels your pain~~. "How've things been?"

"Eh, pretty quiet so far today," Anders replied. "Prety quiet yesterday too, come to think of it, but I guess that's what happens when everybody turns into ponies. Except me," he added as an afterthought.

With a bit of a pout. He never got to turn into anything.

"I didn't turn into one either, so don't feel too bad," Jaina assured him. "Though if I had, there'd be some alcohol in that drink today."

Where the bartender is not, but comfy chairs for lounging are.

Where naked icons go, wooooooooooooo!
