Groovy Tunes; Friday [ 06/06 ]

Not that Chad didn't believe in giving things up for your art, but he had to admit to be glad to being able to immerse himself in an art that was a little more comfortable than what fashion had proved to be yesterday. He sat behind the counter with his guitar, idly plucking along to the music between customers and other, most likely managerial business.

Today's Mix: Sex Blurred Weekend

No, the mix wasn't going to be applicable; it was just a good mix, dammit.

Groovy Tunes is open!

Hinata slipped in, glad that today, at least, Chad-san would be wearing more, and paused at the sound of the music.

She smiled at that. He'd been playing at the picnic too. She drifted closer, silently, not willing to distract him in the middle of a song.

She bobbed her head. "Good morning, Chad-san."

No stuttering even, she smiled more at that.

"Mostly just visiting, before heading t-to the beach later," she admitted, though she had no intentions of actually swimming at the beach. "t-though music isn't a bad idea." Some stuttering, but less. The smile remained. "I'm well though, and you?"

"It doesn't start until the evening t-though," she pointed out, "you could be here m-most of the day, and just close a litte bit early, right? M-Most people would probably be at the Festival anyway so it'd be quiet..."

Hinata nodded. "That's true too," she admitted. "Though I w-wish you weren't alone for the night when everyone will be at the b-beach. That s-seems lonely."

She flushed a little. True enough, but Prince Oscar Pedro wasn't human company however sweet he was.

"I could keep you company if you'd l-like?" Hinata offered. "I wouldn't m-mind."

And she wouldn't really.

She smiled, this time ruefully. "I'd probably s-spend most of it trying not to talk to p-people."

It was a good thing Hinata was fairly sure that he was more concerned about her missing out than the idea that he didn't want her company.

"Y-You're playing live too," she offered. "And if the b-beach is still there tomorrow I can go and look and not have to w-worry about all the people."

She's learned persistance from the boy she likes.

And quiet had never meant she wasn't determined. Hinata was still puzzled over Sokka's surprise that she could be a ninja with her demeanor. What did that have to do with anything?

"P-Perhaps," Hinata agreed, folding tucking her hands in her sleeves and trying not to play with them. "If y-you'd rather I go, Chad-san, I w-will. But if y-you'd rather I stay, I c-can do that as well."

"I'll go t-tonight then," she told him, "b-but only if y-you're sure." She wouldn't want him to feel bad about her staying if he wanted her to go, but at the same time...

She smiled. "I'd like that," Hinata told him. "I would."

She would, as soon as she figured out what a coconut was.

Hinata figured the natives would be happy to help her with that question though.

She giggled, just a little. "Anything e-else you'd like?"

Awwww.

"I'll do my best," she promised him. "B-Because he shouldn't be left out e-either."

"I'm s-sure he will," she said, with a soft laugh. "T-Though not as much as he enjoys being p-petted, I bet."

She pressed one finger to her lips, supressing giggles. "I will," Hinata promised in a whisper of her own. "H-He'd never expect that."
