Caritas [Thursday evening]

Having been insulted by...pirates on her way to the bar (Robin didn't know. They were really creative, though), Robin wasn't her normal, bubbly and friendly self.

Okay, so...basically, non-bubbly was her default, but still.

She was running a special on rum-based drinks, however, to temper this and in honor of their current location.

[I hate having to do this, but a) I'm still kind of loopy from ye olde teeth yanking and have been dozing off and on all day, and b) I have to interview someone to take over my lease (A WINNING COMBINATION, I KNOW. "Hi, so here's the apartme..zzzzzzzzzz") so I'm going to have a touch of the SP/AFK tonight. I should be able to pick up pings if you don't mind being patient, as I'm getting some caffeine in me, but at the very least, expect about 40 minutes of total, definite AFK while I commute to and fro my apartment. Holy crap, this OOC note is longer than the actual post. Sigh. Anyway: mod Tino for speedy service.]

Dick and Ella both sang a few times, once or twice as a duet. Ella was rather good. Dick wasn't bad at all, but that should be expected when Batman has trained you to sing. The zombies did quite well. People don't often mention how good the zombies were, but they deserve the recognition.

And then the eventually cut it out with the singing and being dorks and just went back to the bar.

"Hey, teacher lady," John said, sliding onto a bar stool. "Seen any good sword fights in here?" He'd had to beg out of one on his way to the bar, being as he had no sword with which to fight.

"Not in here. But I got challenged to one on the way over," she offered. "I'm pretty sure you can't actually fight in here, anyway. The bar'll kick you out if you do. True story."

Ella was very bright-eyed as she entered the bar. She'd easily deflected the pirate who hurled an insult at her by marveling at the amount of effort it took him to sound so stupid, and if she was a little nervous, it only showed in how much she kept fussing with her hair.

She should have put it up, she thought.

Smiling at Tino, she ordered a soda, then sat back to wait for Dick.

The mun Chuck was bored and decided to check out the local bar. He was surprised to see his teacher there. Then again, considering what she taught, he probably shouldn't be.

"Hello Ms. Scherbatsky," Chuck said, taking a seat at the bar. "Fancy seeing you here."

Chuck tilted his head in Ino's direction. He ran his teeth over his lower lip as he pretended to think for a moment.

"No, I don't think we have," Chuck smiled at her. "Which is an awful shame, really."

Robin wasn't sure if this was Eve or the girl who looked like her, so she decided to play it safe and not use names. "Hi! What can I get you?"

She figured she'd drink some and then go paint for awhile.

Ino slipped into Caritas confidently and glanced around to see if Brooke had shown yet. Either way, she supposed, it did not really matter if she did or not except for the part where she needed to talk to her about what Dojima-san had thought of.

But, whatever! Ino was mainly here for the guys. "Hi, Robin-sensei!" she chirped. "Can I get a strawberry daiquiri?"

What? It's what she'd wanted during class. Stupid virgin drinks.

Robin smiled. No one ever called her a sensei before. She didn't even really know what that meant, aside from within the context of terrible karate movies.

"Sure. Want an umbrella and everything, too?" she asked, starting to mix the drink.

Ino would die of laughter if she ever saw one of those movies. Sensei, though, was merely a respectful way of addressing a teacher.

"Yes, please," she said, leaning against the bar. "The little umbrellas are totally adorable, don't you think?"

Hey, I am not normally given to making availability posts or long OOC notes, usually. Clearly the past few days have been just making up for lost time.
