The Park: Wednesday Morning

Amateratsu and Issun were in a bit of a fix. This place was using a totally different kind of money. And to pay for the inn they were staying at, they needed to figure out a way to earn some "dollars". Issun was in no hurry of course, even though Ammy made the task seem urgent. She was hoping they'd see some villagers to ask about money. They took up a post in a nice green place with paths, hoping to come upon someone helpful. The wolf proceeded to lounge next to the park bench, thinking this might be a good spot to find people.

((OOC: Open to any and all who aren't stuck in class!))

Ella had gone for a walk through town, and she was ... not afraid, exactly, but a tiny bit discomfited to notice what seemed to be a large, white wolf, sunning itself in the park.

Well. It was probably a student, but she should still keep her distance. "Hello?"

[identity profile] ella-obeys.livejournal.com 2008-09-03 04:00 pm (UTC)(link)
Ella jumped back a little, less in surprise than in offense. "Excuse me?"

She noticed the voice wasn't coming from the dog's mouth, but it was hard to tell from where she stood where it was coming from.

"I'm flattered, really," Ella said dryly. The green pixie, or whatever he was, had no manners at all, she thought, but he was so small that he seemed harmless. "Are the two of you new in town?"

[identity profile] ella-obeys.livejournal.com 2008-09-03 04:30 pm (UTC)(link)
Ella considered this. "I don't think you can teach at the school, their semester is started," she said. "But I'm sure someone in town would hire you for ... well, what kind of work do you do at home?"

[OOC: I'll get her there!]

Harley was on her way to take care of some serious business (shopping), but the white beast caught her attention.

She gave a squeal. "Puppy!"

[identity profile] missinmrj.livejournal.com 2008-09-03 04:06 pm (UTC)(link)
Harley was lucky that she was so close to Ammy's head; she was thus able to see Issun. This did not deter her from giving Ammy a scratch on the same place on her head.

"All I see is a bug. I think this puppy needs a flea bath."

Mid-jump, Harley cupped her hands and caught Issun. Then, holding him between thumb and forefinger, she got a better look, pulling him up to eye-level.

Viki cocked her head to the side as she noticed the wolf. She'd been, for once, just walking aimlessly rather than teleporting anywhere.

"How cute!" she said brightly. "Are you a student?"

[identity profile] blinkandsneeze.livejournal.com 2008-09-03 04:53 pm (UTC)(link)
She blinked.

"I'm sorry,” Viki said politely. “I didn’t realize that there were two of you. Hello again then, and if you’re not students I am unsure why you’d want to be one just for me when you ought to do what you’d rather do.”

"I don't think I have art this term," she mused. "Though I might and only have forgotten it. That is possible. At the moment I am taking something about superpowers and another class on home economics."

As Charlotte went about her rounds in putting up posters (with a whole new section added to the island, she was certain she had quite a job ahead of her!), it was difficult not to notice the big white....was that a wolf?...sitting there.

"Oh!" Charlotte, though pretty surprised and a bit apprehensive, smiled tentatively, "hello, there. Are you lost?"

She certainly hoped that was the case, and, if it wasn't lost, that it wasn't hungry, as well.

[identity profile] perfectmissyork.livejournal.com 2008-09-03 10:26 pm (UTC)(link)
Charlotte had to do a little bit of a double take. She supposed that it wasn't unlikely for an animal to be talking around here, but she did notice that it didn't look like the wolf...

At the same time, it didn't exactly attack her, either, so she tried to move in for a closer look. "As a matter of fact," she said, her happiness at enthusiasm for a gallery overriding her uncertainty pretty quickly, "I would be able to. You see, I actually own the art gallery here." She beamed a little at the wolf, although her eyes did shift slightly as though expecting someone with a hidden camera to step out. "Charlotte York; nice to meet you."

"Oh!" The bouncing definitely allowed for Charlotte to see the little guy, and she gave him a smile. How...cute. Kind of. Okay, not really because bugs weren't exactly something she liked having around, but he did say a few magic words that had her reception as bright as she could manage. She took the offered paw and gave it a shake; now that was undoubtedly charming!

"Well, it's very nice to meet the two of you! You have excellent timing, as we're actually accepting submissions for a community showcase. I'd love it if the two of you would be interested in participating."

She never had animals on an exhibit before. That would be interesting...

Yes.

She'll go with interesting.
