Caritas [Thursday evening]

It was a boring night in the bar. Tino had briefly decided to go on strike before Robin threatened to make him dogsit again if he did.

And as a result, Robin was now behind the bar reading Cosmo (specifically an article on hatesex) and Tino was obediently cleaning the bar.

[This is what happens when you ask people for ideas. Also, I'm kind of randomly exhausted so if I'm slow, it's because I fell asleep on you zomg. Not literally. Probably.]

Without much preamble or even a word of hello, Fraser walked up to the bar, leaned over it and gave Robin a kiss.

She was going to say hi, but hey, her mouth was occupied, so she just kind of leaned over the bar and kissed him back.

Fraser didn't really let up, concerned with putting his day out of his mind and taking comfort in her. She always did that for him.

She cupped his face, leaning into the kiss and trying to figure out what brought this on. She was pretty sure she hadn't left him any obscene messages today.

Fraser leaned even further across the bar, lingering and staying close, nipping her lower lip before deepening the kiss.

Robin ignored Tino, who cleared his throat, and tried to move more across the bar. She was close to actually hopping up on it, but she still wasn't sure what was up.

Rusty took a seat at the bar, ordered a scotch and stared at the band.

He had some questions for Nathan about this damn town.

Nathan came in after he'd had time enough to recover from his class. He spotted Rusty and came on over. "How's it going?"

"Good call on getting the drink," Nathan said. He signaled for a scotch of his own. "Could be worse. They could be in one of those spare apartments."

"They take a bit to get used to," Robin said, eyeing the newcomer (he had to be new -- men that good-looking didn't escape her notice, thanks) and sipping her own scotch.

"You would be correct," she said, nodding. "I, personally, find that things like turning into a dog or the island migrating for awhile get kind of less weird with enough booze. But that just might mean I'm a really good bartender or something."

YEAH, I KNOW. My professor is really scary and yelled at me for smiling during her lecture.

We're also not allowed to leave the class except for extreme circumstances and if we do, we're locked out until the next class. LING 421 = Communist 9th grade, apparently.
