As much as Fiyero was glad to be himself again ... he half-missed the feminine perks, as it were.

And maybe he was flipping through a girly magazine at the counter of the bookstore today. So sue him!

Besides, maybe he could find something he'd be able to cook.

Liir slipped into the store, smiling as he saw his father at the counter.

"Sorry I missed seeing you yesterday," he said as he made his way in.

"Were you a girl too?"

He smiled a little. "Because that made things yesterday eventful enough, I should think."

Liir blinked and then his cheeks went the color of wine.

"Er, yes. Yes, I was."

"It was ... a bit odd, wasn't it?"

And no, he didn't stop to think about who Liir might've ended up looking like. In fact, he pointedly avoided thinking about it.

"Exceedingly. I was even told I was 'creepy'," he admitted which was still bothering him. A small comment, but when it came from two people, it made him think.

And he frowned, glancing to Liir.

"I don't think you should take people seriously when they say something like that," he admitted.

He waved it off with a smile.

"No, because I wasn't myself. Apparently, I'm missable."

"You are," he agreed readily, smiling.

"Other than that bit of things, have you been well?"

"I've been well. Altra, if you recall the Firecat, has started helping me with my magic and I've been trying to be more social. I even found something on the television I like."

He smiled lightly.

"Ah, yes. I ... went to the music store during my break today."

Which meant he'd let Hurley pick music for him. Ha.

"I've only been there the once to pick up something for Andrew once," he admitted with a scratch to the back of his head.

"I should go back. I like music."

And he nodded.

"Then you should, certainly."

"What did you get?" he asked curiously, as he didn't know much about music.

"Something called 'Three Dog'."

"Nothing I'd know about. ...they don't use dogs to make music, do they?"

"I would hope not. Hurley seemed to like it, at least."

"Hurley?"

Oh, he'd forgotten what with the, er, kitten.

"I know him. He goes to school with me. He's nice enough."

"He seemed it, once he got over the diamonds."

But if Fiyero held the diamond-fixation against everyone he met ... he'd have few friends and more enemies.

"Having worn them once, I certainly--"

Oh. He, er, hadn't meant to admit to that.

"I can't imagine what it's like for others. For me it's just... more of you, really."

He blinked.

"When did that -- or rather, how -- did that happen?" He sounded more curious than anything, he supposed.

He ducked his head.

"I think the place was trying to let me know I was being a nit.

"I spent half the week green and the other half covered in blue diamonds."

And Fiyero ... just managed to look confused.

"Oh. Well, that's very ... odd."

He shrugged.

"For all I know, it might have been the goldfish's trickery or my own magic playing games. It's... it's not really clear.

"I just hope you don't mind."

"Why would I mind?"

He ... blinked. It wasn't as if Liir had done it on purpose.
