The Beach, Monday Morning

Viki had to admit that, really, the water was quite beautiful in the morning, as she sat with her legs curled beneath her and watched the waves break upon the beach.

It was almost soothing, though she wasn’t perturbed by anything, and she wondered idly how long the waves had been landing here. Or rather, as the island had a tendency to move about, just how long the waves had been here, carelessly breaking against each other in the tumble-over-the-head sort of play that waves indulged in.

What a luxury, right? To ceaselessly play. Viki laughed, startling the birds no doubt, and fell back against the sand to stare up at the sky.

[Open as a beach tends to be!]

Amber was in a fairly good mood, a reflective mood, and as it was Monday morning and she was bright-eyed, she had nothing better to do so a walk it was. One that led her to the beach and slipping off her shoes, they dangled from her fingers as she walked along barefoot. The sand felt wonderful through her toes.

Laughing, however, had her head spapping up and she followed the noise quite easily as it was ahead of the set path she'd chosen. She came upon Viki and smiled down at her, totally interrupting her with a bright, "Good morning, Vikki."

"Yah," she said with a glance around before looking back down at the girl, "it is. I was just taking a walk, and can be on my way if I've interrupted you at all?"

Amber totally took that as an invitation to sit down and interrupt away. "What about the waves?" she asked, staring out across the ocean.

Ah, Viki, Amber mused silently. Can always count on her to be so philosophical. "Maybe, or maybe they just ever are. They keep moving and moving no matter what happens around them because they're supposed to."

Amber chuckled. "Doing anything forever normally would, but... I guess their boss is just Earth... Mother Nature... the moon and sun." Hee. Amber could really have fun with this kind of talk. Trying to make crap up and stuff.

"Maybe there are people here who can actually talk to them," she mused. "Not that I know of any, but you just never know. Isn't there like a God of the ocean?" Yeah, this was Cal's mythological geekery coming out in her.

"Hm," she murmured. It was something to think about when she didn't have anything else to do. And now she would ask Cal about there being a God of the ocean.

"Besides staring at the waves," she grinned, "how have you been?"

"Aside from teleporting?" she smirked. "And... Robin the frog?"

Amber wrinkled her brow. "Why would Mary schedule you in two places?" She nodded. "Little green guy. He shocked me when I first came here. I had no idea what to make of him. Sometimes I still don't but he's pretty cute."
