Rehearsal - The Boards - Thursday, 12/4

"All right people, people," he said, holding up his hands.

"Sorry about Tuesday. There was a plumbing issue. Trust me when I say you really don't want to know. If anything is, er, damp? Don't worry. It wasn't a sewage issue, but nonetheless, it's very much in hand.

"Get suited up, put on your makeup, and get on the stage. We're doing a runthrough, folks..."

Hoshi pulled out her costume and started applying her stage make-up. Hopefully, she'd get it right.

Robin pulled on his top, and then sat in front of the mirror, carefully applying his makeup.

Ronan was quick with getting into his costume, and even made short work of the make-up. He could, perhaps, use a little bit more, unused to proper stage make-up as he was, but that could be worked out later.

After she was in costume, Amber then began to work on her make-up.

Cal was feeling pretty glad that he didn't have any obligations tomorrow because it was a loooong day today. Still, he got changed and put on his make-up with no real indication that he was just looking forward to going home and zonking out for the night.

It took a bit of doing, but Jack was becostumed. The makeup, however...that was mostly a wash. The lad does not do foundation evenly.

Hoshi figured that it couldn't hurt to run through her lines from Act 5 again. While she had no problem remembering the lines, she had trouble remembering to hit her mark.

Ronan worked through the play well enough, getting every line, hitting every mark, but there was something missing. It was obvious to Ronan as well, and as he kept going, he was visibly losing patience with himself, confidence in himself.

The trick with Robin was always finding something to sit on so the audience would actually be able to see him. This was especially important when he actually had lines of course. And when he was singing.

While this had been worked out early on, it could be tricky maneuvering around say, a table laden with props.

He managed not to step on a fork but did find himself blocked by a cup at one point.

Amber worked her way through her lines, hitting them perfectly, if not as confidently. First dress up rehearsal always seemed to make her nervous.

Cal probably had way too much fun with his role, playing up especially the meddling, sticking his nose and fingers in everyone's business bit of Don Sancho's personality.

Being with his family over Thanksgiving, you see, had been quite the inspiration.

Jack was concentrating on his scenes, particularly III.

"I'll be in here on Saturday to work on the sets," Tony said. "If any of you have time, please come and help out. No experience necessary."

I should have thought of this before I signed him in (and probably on Tuesday, but it's been a crazy week for me, too), but I just realized: Cal's at work for a good chunk of today, plus he has club stuff in the afternoon.

I've never been sure exactly when during the day these rehearsals happen: are they in the evening and therefor no time conflicts with everything else on busy Thursdays? Or should I fudge something with him hopping out at work for a bit?
