MCA - Holiday Party [Afternoon/Evening]

The lobby of the MCA was fully decorated for the holidays, there were small gifts for each of the residents and a table full of food and drink.

Holiday music played at a comfortable level so people could still mingle and chat.

The party was technically for the residents and their guests, but Rusty wasn't likely to notice or care if anyone extra showed up.

Mary was sipping club soda as she looked for people she knew. She wouldn't mind meeting new people either.

"Oh, but those are always the best ones," said Mary, giving Mina a friendly smile. "I don't think I've seen you around, though actually, I don't live in the building."

"Excuse me," Mina said. "I was led to believe this was a gathering of tenants. May I inquire as to what brings you here?"

"Well, my friend Mike lives here, and I sort of suggested to Rusty that he might want to throw a party for the holidays. I even offered to help, so there was no way I was going to skip out." said Mary.

Mina arrived in the evening, after having a chance to freshen up from working at the clinic. She sipped quietly at some punch, and stood off to the side. It would not suit her to be the center of attention.

Nathan grabbed a drink. Getting in the party mood, prepping for going home with his brother - it was multitasking, really.

Mohinder had snagged a coke with ice - he was all out of caffeine, OK? He was trying not to listen to the music in the background; still, only a few more days before they vanished for another eleven months.

Mary didn't live there, but she figured she knew enough people to get herself an invitation.

"And oddly enough, it snowed in Las Vegas last week. My friends were sending me all their pictures of the snow," giggled Mary.

"Pretty good. It's been nice and quiet lately, except for eggnog coming from the taps and snowmen showing up indoors," said Mary. "I'm still trying to decide what I'm doing for Christmas."
