Being from Minnesota meant that Amber was totally used to the cold and snow and the occassional power outage. But when she got to the store she found out the generator was broken by way of Apu, who (kind of oddly) was standing behind the counter wrapped up in a red Snuggie. Raising her brows she decided she'd just stay in her coat, scarf, and mittens. But wow, what a great selling item, yah?

omg Snuggies. As others can tell you, I hate those damn things. Is a blanket really that hard to use, lady on the TV? Are you really going to wear that thing to a football game?

Between this and yesterday I think I've made it obvious that I watch far too much TV.

She quit spinning around. "Liir! Hi! I'm back here behind the counter!" She raised and arm and waved her red mittened hand back and forth.

He grinned and walked over, careful not to trot and slosh everything he was holding.

"I come bearing hot chocolate and soup," he said, holding up the bag. "What would you like?"

"Oooh! You are a life saver!" Blink blink. "Or something like it. The soup! Isn't the snow so pretty?"

He chuckled and put his bag on the counter.

"It's certainly very nice to look at. I only wish the buildings here had more fire places."

"I will give you a Snuggie! A blue one! You'll love it," she giggled and hopped off to grab one and bring it back, where she set it on the counter, all wrapped up in plastic. "We'll snuggle and be warm later, 'kay? And it's only a little odd, you know? Not majorly odd or anything. Just a blanket with sleeves. Neck to toes warmth. Ahhh, Snuggies! Best thing ever!"

He chuckled as she walked back with it before leaning down to give her a kiss.

"All the warmth of a summer day," he quipped with a smile.

"But the blanket-thing will certainly be welcome as well."

Amber grinned wide after the kiss, thinking him sweet and adorable and altogether loveable. It would be wrong to drag him to the camping section of the store and make him try out a sleeping bag with her. Wrong. Totally.

"I'll buy one too and we'll be Snuggie cuties!"

"What kind of soup would you like, though? I've got a few kinds..."

"Your choice. And you can have a hot chocolate as well."

He put the others away and nodded.

"Providing soup and hot drink, courtesy of, well, me, but in the name of the Cafe Fina," he said. "Everyone's cold. And it could drum up more business."

"If anyone comes in and asks about my soup, I'll send them to the Cafe," she said with a firm nod. "I do want to play in the snow later," she admitted. "I love it and have missed it."

He walked around and offered an arm for a hug.

"I'd like to. Makejoy adores the stuff. Thankfully, she's easy enough to find in it even if she likes burrowing."

Ooh, she came in against his side, wrapping her arms around him. Wrong wrong wrong to steal him away to the camping aisle.

Amber laughed. "I bet she's so cute in it! I could play with her all afternoon."
