Boring day was boring and by the time Penelope got to work her feet were seriously dragging. Tino took one look at her and poured her usual beer and stuck an umbrella in it. She tried to look excited about that but failed miserably.

The band was playing Wilson Phillips and she had no idea who they were.

It was going to be a long night.

Caritas is open.

After Hoshi finished her first drink, she worked up her courage to get on stage. She had a bet to pay off, after all.

A quick conference with the lead zombie, and the band started to play the song (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sau4qKLmKHk) she picked to sing.

Hoshi was looking warily at the stage as she took a seat at the bar. "What the heck are they playing?" she asked.

"I have no idea," Penelope said as she looked from the band to Hoshi. "Kind of catchy, isn't it?"

"Sort of. It seems like one of those songs that won't get out of your head," said Hoshi. "I still owe you a song from that bet last week, right? No naked guys walked in after I left?"

"I know. I bet I will be singing it tomorrow," she mused thoughtfully. "And no, no naked guys last week so you definitely owe me a song. Would you like something to drink first?"

"Sure, I'll have a beer. Oh, and if you have some pretzels or something, that would be great," said Hoshi. "I do enjoy a lot of the music from this time period. It has so much depth."

Cal wasn't really sure if this was a good idea or not, but, after talking with Hurley on Monday, his curiosity was getting the best of him and he had the urge to at least see how Penelope was going, even if it might just end out badly. And he knew she worked the bar on Wednesdays, so there you had it.

He took a seat and ordered a glass of water.

"How's it going, Penelope?" Cal asked, and he was very proud of himself for looking at her face as he asked, and not her hand, to see if she was wearing the ring.

"It's going fine," she stated, simply. Her hands were not hidden from his view, did he happen to glance at them, and no, there was no ring.

Her manners had her asking in return, "How are you?"

Cal shrugged. "It's going okay," he answered. "Any exciting news, or anything?"

He was oh so good at fishing for information.

No, he did not accidentally give her the massage oil.
