Caritas - Sunday evening [Open]

Jolee opened the bar a little early tonight just in case anyone wanted to come in to watch the pregame to the game that Tino kept raving about. Jolee himself didn't really give a damn, but it shut Tino up for a little bit, which was enough.

There was a sign up front "Watch the Big Game on a Big TV here!" Tino added the capitalization and punctuation. He really was that excited.

So Jolee checked to make sure the T1 utility droid he had programmed to take drink orders, serve the drinks, and pester people until they paid. And then he got out of the way for the rest of the night.

[OOC: Open EEEEEAAAAAARLY since I'll be afk during normal Caritas posting time. Mod Tino and T1-N0, the utility droid that will be servicing the BRAND NEW and PERMANENT redesigned back room. There are several small tables with chairs back there. There's also a few comfy chairs and a couch. The dart board has been moved from the lounge to the back room. Think of it as a common room for adults.

On normal nights, the back room's TV will be moddable. Assume that it will, by default, be turned to some kind of sport thing with the volume down really low, but you can have T1 change the channel and volume. Just not tonight.]

Still feeling somewhat broody and out of sorts, Loki found his way into the back room to sit and watch the game. He didn't really give a damn about the sport but there was aggression and that was always fun to watch.

Ronon grabbed a drink from T1-N0 with a glare and settled to watch the game in the back room. It was weird to see these things live and made him a little nostalgic.

Daisy didn't even really get much from proper football, but this whole thing not only had the promise of a social event, but it also involved muscly men in tight pants ramming into each other, so sign her up! She had her usual drink, and went to find a good spot. Or maybe just stand until the best spot made itself clear.

"Muscly blokes in tight pants ramming into each other," Daisy explained with a grin. "What the Yanks like to call football, although it's little more than a bunch of masculine rough and tumble with a ball thrown about in between. Also, an excuse to get drunk on piss-water beer."

Daisy, of course, still had her vodka and orange, thank you.

Mina found herself investigating the back room, if only because it was new.

"Is there some sort of event?" she asked. She still didn't own her own TV, and hadn't paid much attention to the sports coverage in the newspapers.

There appeared to be something in the back room! Instead of getting his usual moderately strong ale and water for his hamster, Minsc felt that he should investigate!

And glad he was, indeed! He was not sure he understood the point of all the men in padded armour running about and running into each other was, but it was damn fun to watch!

Talk about football while I'm not around!

Credit for the original idea for the back room goes to missed_the_gate who gave it to me a LOOOOOOOOOOONG time ago and I have no excuse for not following through with it until now. Let me know if there's anything else specific you might want in the back room, keeping in mind that 1) it's not HUGE or anything and 2) Fast Eddie's has pool tables.
