One more week, Charlotte decided. She'd give the Larson exhibit one more week, which meant that a good deal of her time at the gallery today would be spent looking through some ideas on which exhibit to get next.

Of course, that wasn't the only thing Charlotte had to work on. She prided herself on how busy she was keeping today. There was hunting down a great new exhibit, as well as working on some little designs for some simple invitation for the little tea she was planning on having (next Tuesday, she was thinking, might be perfect; this Tuesday was far too soon). And then there was figuring out if there was a way to get the computer to play the Superbowl while she was at work. Not that she had much interest in the game itself, but she had to watch for the commercials!

Ben had an extra spring in his step as he opened the store today. Life was good and there was a big sporting event happening shortly after he got out of work tonight.

In honor of the big game, he set up a table and put up a sign:
All Football Merchandise
20% off!

Granted, he didn't have much football merchandise. Just a few Nerf footballs, some unopened football cards from about fifteen years ago, and some Buffalo Bills jerseys from 1991 through 1994. Say what you will about those teams, but Ben was sure there was someone in the world interested in a James Lofton jersey. He was a Hall of Famer!

[OOC: AFK from about 2 PM Eastern until late. FOOTBALL!]

Jolee opened the bar a little early tonight just in case anyone wanted to come in to watch the pregame to the game that Tino kept raving about. Jolee himself didn't really give a damn, but it shut Tino up for a little bit, which was enough.

There was a sign up front "Watch the Big Game on a Big TV here!" Tino added the capitalization and punctuation. He really was that excited.

So Jolee checked to make sure the T1 utility droid he had programmed to take drink orders, serve the drinks, and pester people until they paid. And then he got out of the way for the rest of the night.

[OOC: Open EEEEEAAAAAARLY since I'll be afk during normal Caritas posting time. Mod Tino and T1-N0, the utility droid that will be servicing the BRAND NEW and PERMANENT redesigned back room. There are several small tables with chairs back there. There's also a few comfy chairs and a couch. The dart board has been moved from the lounge to the back room. Think of it as a common room for adults.

On normal nights, the back room's TV will be moddable. Assume that it will, by default, be turned to some kind of sport thing with the volume down really low, but you can have T1 change the channel and volume. Just not tonight.]

Biff and his new icons sat down behind the counter with a copy of Bendy People monthly.

Shh. It was a totally legitimate publication.

The Arms was open and OCD free!

Dinah had gone from the party to Edward's room, and found him finally in decent shape for going out. So here they were at Chilly Boulder, ready for another new experience.

"You're sure you're feeling okay?"

[ooc: for a musical prince, and open for any other ice cream needs]

G'Kar did not know much of what a superbowl meant, but it seemed that many were very interested in it. Accordingly, he set up a special for the day.

SuperBowl Special!
10% off all party supplies and snacks!

He settled in behind the counter and looked over his notes from the last play reheresal.

(open and ocd-free today as I'm not around much til evening)

Someone had left one of those beeping digital virtual pet keychain things in the diner over the weekend, and Lacey'd discovered it upon her arrival this morning.

It was perplexing for the first few minutes, annoying for the next few every time it beeped.

But somewhere just past the beeping, annoyance turned to pity, and soon Lacey was clutching the little virtual pet, making sad clucking noises and baby-talking to it.

"Aww, who's a hungry widdle Darren? Does Darren want a pre-lunch treat? Good boy!"

. . . wait, no, the clucking noises weren't what was sad. This entire situation was.

Try as she might, Daisy really couldn't help yawning a little every now and again at her desk today. She'd skipped the tea and went on to the bad coffee, which would provide a nice jolt of awareness in the form of oh, in all that's holy, that is some awful bloody coffee slaps to the face. It wasn't even just the little football party at Caritas last night. Most of it was from having gotten up early to get in before Kowalski to stuff one of his desk drawers with red peppers.

Hey, it wasn't her fault that his girlfriend had a very versatile name to help out with pranks. She worked with what was there.

[[ open station! I open today, though, so I'm likely to not be around until afternoon EST ]]

Chad came to a startling realization when he came into the shop today.

"It's February!"

Which meant someone had a sort-of anniversary coming up.

So someone was hitting his head on the counter occasionally, because he sucked at thinking of things to do, although he knew the old stand-by should work just fine.
