Park, Thursday Morning

With graduation this weekend, the school expected most of the graduation guests to begin arriving today. So, to make sure they felt welcomed, the student council had set up a small gathering in the park where the guests could arrive, mingle and relax before heading off with their guests and friends.

There were finger foods on a long table and nametags on the table beside it. Chairs were set out for people to sit and talk if they so wanted.

It was time to get graduation weekend rolling!

[This is just a tiny mingling posts for all grad guests, alums, expats, students, teachers and townies to meet up and talk a little. There's going to be a garage sale later and we encourage you all to go to that as well!]

"I think he missed the memo," Luke replied.

"Now I'm thinking of Sith memos. Obviously April has been strange," she decided.

"Did you turn little? Or was that March?" Luke asked.

"That was march. Though I had kids again this year," she said.

"The twins came back?" Luke asked, smiling.

"With a little brother. It was an interesting weekend. Did you know when one kid cries, they all do?"

"I remember that," Luke said. "I'm glad that bit of Fandom didn't follow me. It was awkward enough to be six and locked in a room by your mother."

Jaina blinked.

And blinked again.

"Yeah," Luke sighed. "Leia laughed for about twenty straight minutes, but there was no way I could show up for strategy sessions when I was only three feet tall."

"Might have been a little distracting to the others," she agreed. "I don't want this happening outside of Fandom."

"I'm just glad I wasn't in a cockpit," Luke said with a little shudder.

"It's you. You probably still could have managed it," she pointed out.

Luke's cheeks went pink. "I'm not that good," he demurred.

"Quit being modest, I'm from your future, remember? I know how good you are."

Luke's cheeks turned even pinker. "I wasn't that good when I was a kid, and suddenly shrinking is a really, really stupid way to die."

"...Okay, you have a point there," Jaina conceded.

"So why was April long, other than the kids and the zombies?" Luke asked. "I got email about the zombies."

She'd been a kitten, too. "Nothing," she lied. "Just a lot of stuff to catch up on after all that."

"Lying to your uncle?" Luke teased gently. "I'm crushed."

"I'm being honest! I'm still playing catchup." See what she did there?

"I see what you did there," Luke said, giving her a little smile.

"Still playing catchup," she insisted, because he'd gotten Email from her once like that.

And Luke let it drop because that's what he did. "Good enough," he said. "Want another hug?"

~~Obviously he was trying to calm her down from her accidental gun icon.~~ "Wouldn't hate it," she said, though it was sort of unnecessary.

"That's a really ringing endorsement," he laughed, giving her another hug anyway, mostly because he'd missed her.
