Park, Thursday Morning
With graduation this weekend, the school expected most of the graduation guests to begin arriving today. So, to make sure they felt welcomed, the student council had set up a small gathering in the park where the guests could arrive, mingle and relax before heading off with their guests and friends.
There were finger foods on a long table and nametags on the table beside it. Chairs were set out for people to sit and talk if they so wanted.
It was time to get graduation weekend rolling!
[This is just a tiny mingling posts for all grad guests, alums, expats, students, teachers and townies to meet up and talk a little. There's going to be a garage sale later and we encourage you all to go to that as well!]

Re: Mingling
"Your mother was fine. I only got worried when I saw you upset. The whole... I didn't want to tell her I came here a homeless orphan, and it is the truth. It's just not anything close to reality, of course. You know me. You know how things stand back home."
He breathed out.
"I was hoping she'd calm down and stop bothering you about me if I said something impressive. I'm sorry if I upset you."
Re: Mingling
"I was only upset because she kept embarrassing me by her awful, personal questions. I mean, this is the woman who told me if I take my top off, make sure I get the money first. I should have known. And... and if you don't want any part of me, because of her... I'd understand. You have nothing to be sorry for."
Amber love her ma, but sometimes she was just ashamed.
Re: Mingling
"That is the silliest thing you've ever said to me, Amber."
He leaned closer and gave her a faint smile.
"I'm reasonably sure that if you'd met my mother, you'd have punched her."
Re: Mingling
"Maybe it was just a tad silly," she whispered, her smile faint as well.
"That does make me feel better. I suppose, I mean I guess I just wanted to give you an out if you wanted. My ma is insane and I'm nothing like her." She hoped. "But if you did want out, I'd have to kill you."
Little grin.
Re: Mingling
"There's my Amber," he said before leaning down to press a kiss to her lips.
Re: Mingling
"I am yours."
Re: Mingling
Then he was too busy kissing her back.
Re: Mingling
But yes, kissing. Nothing else was quite as important right then.
Re: Mingling
"It would be terribly inappropriate to bring you back to my room," he said in a whisper.
Re: Mingling
Re: Mingling
"I--I didn't plan you a party. Just something private for the two of us. I h-hope that's all right."
Re: Mingling
"I don't want a party," she admitted, totally honest.
Re: Mingling
"Then apparently I planned right," he said with obvious relief.
Re: Mingling
Re: Mingling
He always loved it when she said that.
"I love you too, Amber," he said, wishing there was some better way to say it, some way that conveyed all of what that term meant. It always sounded lame in comparison to the feelings in his chest.
Re: Mingling
She took his hand, held it between her two. She felt like she should say thank you, but knew he would think her silly.
Re: Mingling
"Because if so, I'd like to, well, I'd like to head back."
Re: Mingling
Re: Mingling
He put his hand around hers.
"Should we go?"
Re: Mingling
"Do you want to mingle? I don't want to keep you from mingling, Liir."
Re: Mingling
"I'll mingle when the new people show up. I've actually signed up for a little sibling this time around, to help someone new. I thought I should, considering."
