The Perk, Sunday morning

Parker had stayed away from the dance last night. So she was staying away from the brunch, too. Antisocial? Sue her.

She left a couple text messages for friends to let them know where she was, and settled in with a cocoa.

Considering he had consumed the punch last night, Leto was feeling surprisingly well. As he entered the Perk, his gaze wandered across the room. Noticing Parker grinned, and after picking up the coffee he had ordered he made his way over to her table.

"Parker. It's good to see you again." He smiled at her.

It was actually a relief to talk to someone who didn't know her that well. Parker relaxed an increment and leaned back. "Hello, Leto. Seems to be my weekend for running into Atreides, I just met your sister yesterday. Have a seat."

"You met Ghani?" He sat down opposite her, leaning back in the chair. "And Irulan?"

"Ghanima, yes, while she was practicing on the beach. Irulan, no, not yet, although I'm tracking down her hat shop and giving her what-for." Parker's smile wasn't as bright as usual, but it was still teasing. "Hat shop. What is she thinking? Isn't she still Princess of half the universe or something?"

"Perhaps she wants to do something that where she doesn't need to carry the burden of that title," Leto said quietly, sounding serious for a moment. Then he smiled again. "And what are your plans for this stay in Fandom?"

"You!" Isabel said when she spotted Parker. "Don't EVER do that again! I was this close to having Wyatt do some sort of locater spell to track you down."

Parker managed not to flinch, but she did give Isabel a wary if hopeful look. "Hey. Sorry?" She paused. "Yeah, that's all I've got. If I disappear again, I'll tell you when I'll re-surface or where I'm going." Mostly. What dimension to look for her, anyway.

"You'd better. And now I'm going to collect on what you owe me for making me worry," she said, moving in for a hug.

Parker smiled and let her, awkwardly slinging an arm around her shoulders as she smiled. "It's really good to see you," she admitted quietly. "I wasn't thinking clearly when I left China. Or I would've gone to you." Although that might've been bad, too-- Isabel knew too much already. And her father might have gone looking for her there.

There had been reasons she'd just run. That was only the beginning of them.

There was a shriek of "PARKER!" and a petite punker launching herself at Parker in a flying squirrel tackle of a hug.

That would be Parker nearly falling out of her chair with the force of the hug.

"Holy crap! Hi?"

Parker couldn't help grinning in response to that. "Did you really think I wasn't?"

Irulan entered the Perk, feeling a need for coffee. She was dressed casually for today, forgoing her usual attire.

Parker had moved on to a muffin by now, and it was only preparation from having spoken with Ghanima and Leto that had her saying with any equanimity, "Irulan?"

She knew that voice. Irulan turned with coffee in hand. She did. There was a brief moment of surprise but it was a credit to her Bene Gesserit training that none of it showed on her face.

Instead, she greeted bright and warm, "Parker!"

Parker shook her head, very amused. "At least you're not wearing that butterfly headdress from hell. I can't believe you're back here."

Anders still had his phone in hand when he raced down to the Perk and nearly barrelled over a hapless person exiting on his way to Parker's table.

"Hey, you."

Parker looked up, and smiled. "Hey, you." She stood up, and bit her lip, uncertainty showing for once. "It's good to see you."

"Not as good as it is to see you," Anders returned evenly, already holding his arms out for the promised hugs he'd insisted she was going to get whether she wanted them or not.

Just this once, she decided not to fight it, and just walked into it.

Bridge is on a two-fold mission: One, to check in with a certain house- er, dimension-guest. Two, to acquire some honest-to-goodness non-synthesised coffee.

Thankfully, both can be found in the same place.

"Hey, dude," Parker responded, giving him a small smile. "Having fun at all the party stuff?"

"The dance was fun," Bridge says with a nod. "What about you?"

"Not awful," Parker said honestly. "I just hung out on the beach and in the Preserve, yesterday. Wasn't up for much conversation." She took a sip of her drink, then slowly said, "Talked to Isabel and Anders here. As well as Irulan, do you remember her at all?"
