Cabot and Associates, Thursday 7/02

Jennifer was back to her usual, extra-studious self today. Probably because she didn't have school work to focus on.

If anyone needed her, though, she'd help them! She was nice like that.

[ooc: Open, and OCD-less, also note: SP needed, I'm gonna be really spotty with availability today.]

Turtle knew that Jennifer was working at the office today, and she, of course, had her reservations about interrupting her, but the trip to Arrakis had done her a lot of good, and she felt a nice swing of creativity and was also conveniently on SP and wanted to share. She brought some coffee and donuts to help make up for the interruption.

"Morning, Jennifer!" she greeted her as she came in. "How goes it?"

"Excellent!" Turtle said, her grin very bright and clearly marking that Something Good Was Up.

"New Students tomorrow," she said. "You up to some heavy meet and greet, partner?"

"Exactly," Turtle nodded, smirk still in place as she shifted her bag. "Perfect time to start quietly introducing them to Wexler and Walters."

At which point, she pulled from her bag a little sample of a logo, clean lines and big letters, proclaiming WEXLER-WALTERS: A WINNING TEAM in, of course, red, white, and blue.

"I'm sure about the tagline," she admitted as she showed it off, "but it does work with the Ws."

"Why would they be turned off?" Turtle asked, tilting her head. "I use a politically statement whenever I'm up for something, and they keep voting for me."

Because, really, 'a Winning team' was pretty tame compared to her favorite: 'A vote for Wexler is a vote well made.'

Turtle couldn't help a snort. "Coming from the girl saying 'hip.'"

"Hey!" Turtle pointed a finger happily. "Cool is, though! You've got that!"

"Think of it this way, then," Turtle offered with a chuckle. "After picking up current slang, the SAT questions should be a breeze!"

"Oooh, cookies aren't a bad idea," Turtle said, "although there'd be a picnic, so it might seem a little superfluous. I generally just go around and say hi and welcome them to Fandom, ask where they're from, maybe warn them about some of the weird if it feels like they won't completely and utterly freak out or if they haven't likely been told it a gazillion times already."

"Exactly," Turtle agreed. "I mean, I've got the benefit for having been here a really long time, so my experience can speak for me, but sometimes it just helps for a new kid to know that there's someone there to help them through the crazy. And if you help them through the crazy a little bit, they'll probably be more likely to think you can help them through StuCo, too."
