Dite's Decadent Delights; Friday [ 09/11 ].
Typically, Valentine didn't bring her laptop with her to Dite's shop; there were usually more than enough things to keep her entertained and distracted from her tendency to browse, but today was an exception. To her credit, though, she was working on writing something, but as to what it was, she wasn't about to tell anyone.
She was not about to neglect her dedication for featuring thematic devices. Quite the opposite, in fact. For today, on display at the counter, she had the Sinulator, a device that you plugged into your computer so that someone else, over the magicks of teh Intrawebz, could control the vibe and movement of it. There was even a name involved in the development of such products: teledildonics.
The Internet: not only for porn, but taking it to new interactive levels. It was beautiful, really.

"Hello," he said, before the Sinulator grabbed his attention. "Do I even want to ask what that is?"
He understood the basic shape. The wires were the confounding bit.

"You're joking," was what Jack said first, and more or less automatically. "It's like making love to someone from a distance? I suppose I'm supposed to say technology is amazing, but that just sounds uncomfortable."

"Fine," he said. "Show me. I live to learn."

And, with that, she sort of bounced out of the shop to do just that.
It was at least five minutes, to take take care of the necessary connections or whatever, plus a few just to leave Jack waiting and catch him at least a little off guard, until she had the control panel hooked up from where she was and started the thing to vibrate.
Re: Talk to Valentine -- 09/11.
Public comm.It really was a surprisingly long time, and Jack had gotten bored of looking at the thing and was flipping through a magazine by the time the thing started vibrating its way across the counter.
He let out a surprised yelp at the noise (and was grateful no one was there to hear it), then picked it up. Curiously, he held it against the palm of one hand, then ran it up his arm.
The thing tickled.

She drifted back over to the counter, fiddling a short message in Morse code again through the vibrations of the device, and then handing the Blackberry back.
"And maybe you're the not terribly bright one. It just quoted Shakespeare, I'll have you know."
Re: Talk to Valentine -- 09/11.
He looked at the device. "The wriggles were quoting Shakespeare?" If he'd known Morse code, he might have understood how, but Samuel Morse was American. Telegraphs in his world used a different system.

NEEEEERD.
Re: Talk to Valentine -- 09/11.
He would have asked for hers, but hers was long.

"No beeping; I'm not about to stand here and sound like an idiot trying to spell out a name as long as mine in Morse."
Re: Talk to Valentine -- 09/11.
He so would, was the thing.
