The Park, Friday Morning
It was a glorious fall day, so Didi walked into town to get a latte at the Perk then took it and a few stale croissants cadged out of the girl behind the counter to the park.
She took a seat on one of the benches by the pond and started tossing out crumbs by the scant palmful, trying to stretch the time she could spend doing this. The ducks squabbled over the crumbs, but they were ducks. Squabbling was part of their job.
[OOC: Open park post, of course!]

She offered a third of a croissant to Hayley. "Want to help?"

"Thanks, by the way. For what you said this weekend."

She tossed a few more crumbs. "It's nice to have the time to risk it."

He also didn't at first notice the ducks, until an angry quacking brought him back to the present.
"Woah! Sorry." He jumped back, into a pile of duck droppings.
