"Oh Tino, don't you just love this movie," Adora sighed, leaning on the counter and staring adoringly at the television screen. "I hope it ends happily with a shared kiss!"

Tino responded with a pathetic cough, his forehead smushed against the bar and his eyelids fluttering in exhaustion. Someone shouldn't have come to work tonight. The draw of boobs was obviously too great to keep him away.

"The prince so wants to marry the strong and dynamic student, and yet, his accented family doesn't approve of his choice!" Another sigh. "These are the evenings I miss my prince. Do you have a special friend, Tino? One to have the sex with?"

The only answer she got was snoring. Adora smiled over at the bartender, feeling sorry for him as she draped a bar towel over his shoulders. "Sleep now, friend. I shall do the work tonight."

"I was just betting with my friend Tino," she motioned to the slumbering man at the end of the bar, "about how a romantic film might conclude." Of course, there had been no stakes to the bet as it was more of a wondering.

"I'm not that familiar with films," Mat admitted, "but I know most romantic stories end with a kiss."

There was nothing he could've said to please Adora more. "That is exactly what I was hoping would happen in the end! There's nothing better than a kiss."

Well, not quite.

There was no denying his smirk was cute. "And now you'll tell me you know all about those things?"

"I might," Mat said, leaning in a little.

"It would hardly do to make you sad," Mat said. "You have such a pretty smile."

Which made it so easy to smile bigger. "And you have a talent for flattery. Which doesn't make me at all sad."

"Oh, Mat, we have far too much in common," Adora said, not at all teasingly. She had brought her talking horse to Fandom with her, after all. "I love a good ride."

"I did! He's a dear friend," she shared. "Did you bring yours?"

"I did," Mat said. "Is yours the white horse in the stables by chance?"

"Yes! Spirit," she grinned at his knowing him. "He's so fond of it here. He says it's calmer than home with better food."
