"Oh Tino, don't you just love this movie," Adora sighed, leaning on the counter and staring adoringly at the television screen. "I hope it ends happily with a shared kiss!"

Tino responded with a pathetic cough, his forehead smushed against the bar and his eyelids fluttering in exhaustion. Someone shouldn't have come to work tonight. The draw of boobs was obviously too great to keep him away.

"The prince so wants to marry the strong and dynamic student, and yet, his accented family doesn't approve of his choice!" Another sigh. "These are the evenings I miss my prince. Do you have a special friend, Tino? One to have the sex with?"

The only answer she got was snoring. Adora smiled over at the bartender, feeling sorry for him as she draped a bar towel over his shoulders. "Sleep now, friend. I shall do the work tonight."

After getting cleaned up after Fight Club, Jaina headed to Caritas as planned, taking a seat at the bar. "I know I should know your name," she said, frowning.

Jaina, of course, had always mainly dealt with She-Ra. So there was that.

"You probably should," Adora replied good-naturedly, turning away from her movie to help her customer. "I am, Adora and you are Jaina." Yes, she paid attention to these things. "I feel I should know your drink."

"Feel free to surprise me however handwavily," she said, hoping they hadn't had classes together and she just didn't realize it. "As long as it's strong." After all, if she got drunk early, then she could go back to her room and feel accomplished. Jaina was entirely cheating at turning twenty-one.

"What's going on back there?" she asked, looking back where Adora had been watching the movie.

"Surprises I am good at!" Adora announced, going for Hannibal's favorite terrible bottle of liquor that had nearly made Adora cry in pain at drinking. She poured a nice amount for Jaina and set it in front of her with plenty of napkins.

"You mean the movie? It's this whole series about a young girl and her prince," a sigh. "Have you a prince?"

Maybe even harder than telling someone who knew John in a non-shin-kicking capacity that she was single now was saying it to someone who had no clue. "No," she said, glad the drink was already there.

And after taking a sip of it, she paused and said, "Well I did ask for strong."

"You did," Adora nodded, glancing back at her movie. "I don't have one either. This girl in the movie is very lucky."

Jaina raised her eyebrows, asking, "Got something in your eye there?"

"Only an eyeful of a pretty girl," Mat said with a grin. He was so charming. "Hello."

She was used to this sort of thing by now, but the timing was not that great. "Hi. You don't want to flirt at me," she warned.

"Why not?" Mat asked. "Isn't that what bars are for? Drinking, dicing, making friends?"

Mat was in need of a drink after what had been a fairly long week.

The pretty blonde behind the bar was certainly helping things to look up.

"Hello," he said, flashing her a smile. "May I have an ale?"

"Anything for my friend, the pirate," Adora said, getting his drink quickly as it was simple and she could actually do that. There would be pity for those wanting things mixed together.

She placed a napkin on the bar in front of him followed by his glass. "A gambler! Have you placed any bets for this evening?"
