Turtle & Canary, Tuesday, 12/08
Didi accepted seasonal music as part of the price of working retail, and the truth was, she loved Christmas carols. They were all about warmth and family and hope -- all things she believed in.
She just wasn't quite so loving about the same carol, over and over again, until the melody just sounded like clanging. Oh wait, the melody was clanging.
Tuning the music out as best she could, she finished restocking the self-tanner and cosmetics aisle, which had gotten rather depleted over the weekend. Then she took her usual station behind the counter.
T&C was open. Squishy flavors: Grape Judas, Mincemeat, Sugar Cookie.
