Yes, there was an E in there again - it was getting chilly outside and Morgana had a feeling that after the past week, chocolate and whipped cream-laden drinks might help everyone's moods.

"If there is a lesson to be taken away from the last week, it's that sometimes the people our friends need to be rescued from the most is themselves," Morgana started, doing her best not to look at Arthur ~~if he was there~~. "Whether it is a gremlin bite or the island affecting people, sometimes our friends go mad, and nothing can cure them but simply waiting for the effect to wear off. The problem is, if we leave people to fend for themselves, they could, in the best case, do something terribly embarrassing or, in the worst case, hurt themselves, and possibly others in the process. The question we have today is: how can we best keep our friends safe when they're out of their minds? Is it all right to lock someone in their room? To bind them to their bed if necessary?" Now she really wasn't looking at Arthur. "Should we get consent about these things beforehand, or can it be assumed that if someone comes to their senses and finds themselves bound and protected, they will forgive those who caught them for saving them from potential trouble?"

Morgana was there, sipping some tea and feeling grateful that she'd only been insane once this week.

Which, of course, meant Merlin needed to very, very slowly sidle up for apologizing.

And hope no one saw him.

"Hello."

"Oh. Hello," Morgana said, giving him a soft smile. "I hear you've had a bit of a rough week."

And a weekend. But shhhh she didn't need to start with that.

"It's been better," Merlin admitted. "I think, perhaps, I'll be happy to not fall in love with everyone for just a little bit."

"I can imagine that would make life easier," Morgana replied with a soft laugh. "Perhaps the island will be kind for a few days?"

"...I thought so too after the weekend."

Ah, the weekend. Morgana blushed lightly as she nodded. "Yes, it was quite a weekend, wasn't it?"

"One that I fully intend on repressing," Merlin added quickly. "I hear it's very popular."

"Sometimes a bit of repression is perfectly healthy," Morgana agreed. "Especially if it will help keep things from being...awkward between friends."

"Of course!" No need to have Arthur try to warn him off with vague, not at all jealous talk of staying with girls on his level.

"Good, I'm glad," Morgana said, looking genuinely relieved. "I'm sure we'll look back upon these weeks and laugh." Maybe some point in the distant future, at least.

Merlin laughed nervously at that, as if to make it so. "We will."

And change the subject quickly.

"Have you enjoyed your classes this past semester?" He asked, doing just that.

"I have!" Morgana said, with genuine positivity. "Ethics in particular has been fascinating."

"Professor Skywalker seems a bit... intimidating."

"He is, but then I remember that he can't hurt us without getting into trouble," Morgana said. "That makes him slightly less frightening."

"...true. Though that usually doesn't stop Lady Ghanima from throwing things at me."
