Support Services: The Perk, Friday after classes

Yes, there was an E in there again - it was getting chilly outside and Morgana had a feeling that after the past week, chocolate and whipped cream-laden drinks might help everyone's moods.

"If there is a lesson to be taken away from the last week, it's that sometimes the people our friends need to be rescued from the most is themselves," Morgana started, doing her best not to look at Arthur if he was there. "Whether it is a gremlin bite or the island affecting people, sometimes our friends go mad, and nothing can cure them but simply waiting for the effect to wear off. The problem is, if we leave people to fend for themselves, they could, in the best case, do something terribly embarrassing or, in the worst case, hurt themselves, and possibly others in the process. The question we have today is: how can we best keep our friends safe when they're out of their minds? Is it all right to lock someone in their room? To bind them to their bed if necessary?" Now she really wasn't looking at Arthur. "Should we get consent about these things beforehand, or can it be assumed that if someone comes to their senses and finds themselves bound and protected, they will forgive those who caught them for saving them from potential trouble?"

It wasn't all that surprising that Gabrielle was out of her room today -- it was so much less awkward than being in it. This was hardly the first time she'd done something royally embarrassing (no, really, ask her about the drugged nutbread or the Bacchae bite) and it was likely far from being the last; even if she lost friends over this, she knew she'd always have Xena.

Because really, why would Xena be upset over this anyway, at her at least?

. . . but chocolate was nice. Ooo, chocolate.

Harper hadn't humiliated herself too badly over the weekend, but chocolate still helped.

Arthur was not going to partake of any chocolate. That was the part that was true.

The part that probably wasn't true was the part where he was giving Morgana the bitchface for even slightly glancing his way during all of that. BITCHFACE.

"Hiding under the bed, mainly," he said, blinking at her.

Claire showed up despite being horribly embarrassed at how she had treated Dinah this morning.

Chocolate wasn't going to help, but she ate some anyway and looked around for her roommate.

Robin never turned down chocolate. The Perk even now had cups that were just the right size for him.

It really did. Yay cocoa and fritters, and yay sanity.

"All of you guys? Have permission to lock me in a closet or knock me out if I start acting like a danger to myself or others," Dinah said in a subdued voice. "Or just like I might elope with someone I've only been interested in for two days."

Claire approached Dinah looking rather subdued. "Dinah? Can I, uh, talk to you for a sec?"

Dinah gave her a wary-to-sheepish look, having had time to cool down now. "Yeah. Let's go over to that booth." She slid into one by the wall, and poked at the foam on her cocoa with one finger.

"I know I'd be more comfortable getting permission before hand." Said Robin. Not that he'd likely ever be able to restrain anyone or knock them out.

Which, of course, meant Merlin needed to very, very slowly sidle up for apologizing.

And hope no one saw him.

"Hello."

Francine had found that keeping your face behind a large mug of hot chocolate and an apple fritter -- or three -- did wonders for hiding the wince that came every time tying people up was mentioned.

Dinah came over, apple fritter in hand, looking very, very sheepish. "Hey. Um. Thank you for being my bridesmaid? And trying to talk me out of being crazy?"

Francine lowered her cup and smiled, then licked off the whipped cream mustache she just knew was there. "Any time."

"...hello." Don't talk about the lapdance, Merlin. Even if it was the only other thing other than asking if she really would have gagged him.

"I'd ask if you're sane now, but I was listening to the radio." And then there was Francine getting up to give him a hug. As you do when there have been lapdances and threats of terribly un-erotic asphyxiation.
