Support Services: The Perk, Friday after classes

Yes, there was an E in there again - it was getting chilly outside and Morgana had a feeling that after the past week, chocolate and whipped cream-laden drinks might help everyone's moods.

"If there is a lesson to be taken away from the last week, it's that sometimes the people our friends need to be rescued from the most is themselves," Morgana started, doing her best not to look at Arthur ~~if he was there~~. "Whether it is a gremlin bite or the island affecting people, sometimes our friends go mad, and nothing can cure them but simply waiting for the effect to wear off. The problem is, if we leave people to fend for themselves, they could, in the best case, do something terribly embarrassing or, in the worst case, hurt themselves, and possibly others in the process. The question we have today is: how can we best keep our friends safe when they're out of their minds? Is it all right to lock someone in their room? To bind them to their bed if necessary?" Now she really wasn't looking at Arthur. "Should we get consent about these things beforehand, or can it be assumed that if someone comes to their senses and finds themselves bound and protected, they will forgive those who caught them for saving them from potential trouble?"

Francine lowered her cup and smiled, then licked off the whipped cream mustache she just knew was there. "Any time."

Dinah gave her a grin of relief, and tentatively asked, "So, how's your week been, after you and Arthur dragged off Merlin?" She sighed. "Priestly tried to do that to me. Tranquilizer darts might be a good idea."

"Arthur trapped him in his room, and--" Awesome. Mental images ho. "Tied him up." Quick squirrel-check. And sigh. "And I went back to mine and pretended I wasn't picturing it. And really? That's pretty much how my week has been."

Now Dinah had weird mental images. Thanks for sharing, Francine. You're a bud.

"I caught Radio this morning." And never wanted to shaving cream Arthur's door more. "I'm glad Merlin's as back-to-normal as everyone else, now. But this'll teach me to ever be grateful a weird weekend passes me by. It's just one gremlin bite or bad spell from being crazy in the middle of the week."

"I think you can be grateful," Francine said with a small laugh. "You're just not allowed to be smug about it."

"Yeeeah." Although not treasuring the memory of Tyler and Mr. Stark's wedding was just beyond her. Hopefully if anything that awful ever happened, she'd be able to laugh afterward. "No popcorn next time. And I still wish I'd locked Priestly in his room. He would've been way less upset by the end."

"Was Priestly crazy too?" Francine asked.

"He was-- it was complicated, because he and Dean were actually sharing a body? He was Dean's alternate personality, or vice versa. And they really weren't getting along." Dinah made a face. "So they were both kinda sane but kinda not? I had to talk him out of getting a tattoo on Dean's body, and then he tried to shoot Dean later. Himself." She paused. "I'm still not real clear on that part."

"I had alternate personalities too. One was ... me, just this pure sweet perfect holy version of me, or something." Mmm, apple fritter. "And the other was...not."

"Wow. Really?" Dinah's eyebrows went up in surprise, then tentatively asked, "You didn't kill anybody or anything, did you?"

"Well no. There's that." Leave it to Dinah to come up with something worse that she hadn't even considered. "I was a stripper." For the second time, thanks Fandom.

It was a gift! "Whoa," she blurted, eyes huge. "Oh, wow. That had to be-- uh. Headdesky, on Monday morning."

Into her cocoa cup in the hope that squirrels couldn't read lips, Francine said, "I kissed Meg Manning, gave Merlin and Chuck a topless lapdance, offered to go back to their hotel room for a threesome, offered to make it a foursome when Arthur showed up, then after he dragged me and Merlin back to the dorms, I tried--" And failed. "--to seduce Katchoo. So, you know, same old same old."

Dinah's jaw kept dropping further and further with every revelation, and saying You win would totally not be helpful. But still. Whoa. "Holy cow. A foursome? I mean...." Well, that was nice of Katchoo and Arthur, right? "I'm glad Arthur was looking out for you. And Katchoo was herself too, I guess?" 'Cause otherwise, Dinah could see how that would be even more Awkward.

Technically two foursomes, since that's what she figured was going to happen when they got to 505, too.

"Yeah, Katchoo wasn't any different." It was so not sane to kind of wish she had been.

"Tony almost confused me into thinking I should marry Jak and Sam," Dinah shared, hoping to make Francine feel a little better. Futile effort though it might be. "Which, well. I'm glad I didn't suggest that idea to him. And at least Katchoo doesn't have anyone to beat up she wouldn't have beat up anyway?" Because Chuck always kind of inspired that. And whoever Meg was, she was probably off the island by now. See, silver lining! "Although both of you being superheroes again would've definitely been more fun, hunh."

Again with the tiny snicker. "Afterwards, definitely. During...who knows. Stripper-me seemed to be having a lot of fun."

Remembering what she'd tried to get Dinah to promise her, Francine added, "You didn't, um. Damage any suites with Sam, right?"

"Yay fun?"

Dinah buried her head in her hands, then managed to laugh and look up at Francine. "No. Thank God. We declared our love in the library yesterday afternoon, and then there was no time before 'Dite took the stupid spell off us. I think I would've kept my promise... by eloping to Vegas or Niagara Falls or something."

"And here I thought I was being smart by appealing to the bridezilla in you."

Dinah hooted with laughter and said, "What the heck was up with that, I'm never going to know. I don't want to get married! Not soon, and maybe not ever. Sheeeesh." She grinned at Francine. "You'd still look awesome in a red bias-cut. With a slit up the side." Hey, as long as you're going for red, go full out.

"A slit up the side of a bridesmaid's gown?" Francine repeated because it was easier than thinking about maybe not ever. "You know I only do the exotic dancing when I'm possessed, right?"

"Bridesmaids are supposed to get... a lot of compliments," Dinah said, trying for angelic and missing by several light years. "Even if you bring a date or an S.O., you should look awesome." She stopped and laughed again. "You know, fifteen or something years from now, maybe, I don't know."

"Are you sure Sam can wait that long for you?" Francine said, trying for angelic and hitting it fairly well.

Dinah threw a napkin at her, snickering. "If he can't then he's not the man for me!" She rolled her eyes. "Because Twoo Wuv means I could go into a convent or something and he'd still be there. Probably." Riiiiight.

Francine rolled right back. "For some of the people around here, that might just make it more of a turn-on."
