How Clark had gotten talked into returning to the bar was not something he cared to think on for long. Let's go with Tino was pathetic and Clark could use the money.

Besides, Tino was being kind of weird and distracting with some neck pogo-stick contraption and claiming it was better than plastic surgery.

Tyler didn't know the kid behind the bar, and he looked too wholesome to bother with, so he barely glanced him up and down before slipping onto a stool and gesturing to Tino for a beer.

He wished they'd had fight club. He was twitchy.

"Do you really need to hit people that badly?" He asked, taking a seat next to Tyler.

Tyler took a moment to decide not to split hairs over the definition of the word 'need.'

"Pretty much, yeah," he said. "I didn't even know how much I missed Fight Club, but canceling it over the holidays has me kind of...." he waved a hand through his air. "I'll find some meathead at the gym."

Young or wholesome would never stop Adrian from being friendly to someone he might be seeing a lot of. Especially if they might be giving him his drinks. Finding his usual seat, he asked, "How is it possible that I'm still meeting new bartenders?"

"Depends on how often Tino hires us, I guess," Clark replied, smiling at the friendly guy, and kind of glad to be able to move away from potentially overhearing the old guy's conversation. "I'm Clark Kent, new guy to Sundays."

No, Clark didn't know Tino wasn't the boss.

That got an amused look from him, though really, what didn't get that look from him? "Adrian Ivashkov, Mondays. So Tino's the boss now, is he?"

"In his own mind, I'm sure he is," Adrian replied easily. "Though he is here more than our regular boss, I'm assuming he gets paid less. Much, much less."

When Tino was done slimming down his neck, he was so gonna kick Adrian for spilling that.

"Wait a sec, if you're saying Tino's not the owner, then do I still have a job?" Pardon Clark's slow confusion.

"Chuck's the owner, but I'm going to go ahead and assume that if you want to show up and do the work, keeping your job shouldn't be a problem," he said. "I'll even put in a good word for you."
