The Perk, Sunday Late Morning
Ino was bored.
Bored bored bored! Which was why, of course, she wound up at the Perk and talked them into giving her whipped cream with a little bit of hot chocolate. They barely even put up a fight this time about it! Ino was impressed.
… She thought she might've just worn them down, really, if she was being honest.
So now Ino was going to take her not-really-a-drink and flop down in a chair over by the windows so she could peer outside at people. And settle down to see what she could 'sculpt' with her whipped cream, a spoon, and a stir stick.
Curing boredom, clearly, meant she had to be inventive. And no, Ino did not particularly care that she was closer to seventeen than seven.
She was totally allowed to play with her food.
[Open, of course!]

"Do you like it?" It looked vaguely like a snowman, that being the easiest thing to attempt with whipped cream.

"I think I have maybe an inch of hot chocolate," she said finally. "The rest is whipped cream."
Which was rather terrifying considering Ino had ordered an extra large hot chocolate.

"You wanna sit?"

Coffee! And those cookies that are really really hard until you let them soak in the coffee for a little bit! And maybe some chocolate-mint flavor shots for the coffee, too!
Yeah. Zack walking into The Perk always seemed a little bit like the beginning of the end, didn't it?
"Hey!"

But hey, if the end of the world was nigh, she was going to greet it with a smile.

Because he totally needed coffee. Really. You could tell by how he was always bouncy.
"And the cabins are kind of getting stuffy, so I figured a change of scenery couldn't hurt at all." He held up a finger, and then placed his order. The barista that he gave it to looked decidedly nervous about it, but didn't argue. "And I figured, hey, people hang out in coffee shops, right?"

Him hyper was less scary than him declaring he loved everyone.
"I'm a people," she said, eyes wide. "And lookit that, I'm here all hanging out."

He gave a little grin to the girl at the counter, paid the cost of the coffee with American money and dropped one gil into the tip jar, and then made his way to Ino's corner of the world with his coffee in one hand and a chocolate-dipped biscotti in the other. "So, how's today treating you so far?"

Nom nom nom!

The things that a person could learn over coffee!
"And that whipped cream looks good," he added a moment later. "Do you suppose they'll give me some if I go up and ask?"
They would if he used the puppy face. He was a master of the puppy face.

"You know, I'm pretty good at finding monsters, when there are monsters to be found," he offered.

"I think your sword might be overkill," she teased, sitting back. "Considering we're thinkin' hampers and dryer sheets."
no subject
"I can totally wield a damp towel with deadly accuracy," Zack announced, entirely too proudly as he peeled off his glove, stuck his finger in the whipped cream, and then from there into his mouth. "It's a handy skill to have when hunting sock-monsters and when stuck in the locker room after sweaty SOLDIER training sessions."
Wasn't that a nice mental image, Ino?
no subject
"I'll think about it," she said primly. "You're a lot more intimidating lookin' than me or Kitty are though. You might scare them into hiding."
Scare the socks into hiding, yes.
