Groovy Tunes, Tuesday
Well, this was it, then. This was the business that Jono had more or less inherited, since Alice's leaving the island. And, as far as he was aware, the sum of the parts of Groovy Tunes was Jono, a building, and the music.
This probably had to be remedied. Businesses like this didn't exactly run themselves, after all, and so even if Jono would quite happily spend every waking hour of every day here, there was a sign in the window, looking about as flashy as Jono could possibly make it.
Which meant that the sheet of scrap looseleaf with the words "HELP WANTED" scrawled on it in black sharpie was also decorated with little music note stickers. They were scratch-and-sniff and smelled like blueberry.
It counted.
[Groovy Tunes is open and flying OCD-free, as always!]

Because that was supposed to happen every Tuesday, yes? Okay so the sign said "Help Wanted." Obviously the British dude left off the part "TO ROCK!"
"British dude!" she exclaimed as she bounced into the store. "Where's your axe?"

It added personality. Like Cheez Whiz, but less obnoxious.
//In th'back,// he replied, pleasantly. //You didn't think I would leave it behind, did you?//

She thought about that for two seconds.
"Nope. I'm a guitar player."

Loud music! Cats-stuck-in-washing-machines music! Which was ridiculously fun to play, though Jono would never admit it.

Someday, he'd curse that curious streak of his. Today,he'd just start setting up his guitar and amplifier.

... Now he was just enjoying himself. How did he manage to get along with the crazy people, he'd probably never figure out.

Wait. Did she just apply for a job?
Beware Groovy tunes. Be. Ware.

Jono was going to have to find an m&m's supplier, he supposed. Not a terrible loss, really, only he did fear what the large amounts of sugar would do to the girl.
//When do you want to start?//

Not that Dandelion knew the difference.

Gregorian, he knew. But sometimes the snark had to shine on through.

Even if he was a bit of a creature of habit, and all.

"Job....ACQUIRED!" It was some sort of statement, and Delirium was actually pretty serious when she said it. In a way. How serious can a multicolored crazy girl can be?
"...Hi."
no subject
//Good day, Delirium,// he greeted, pleasantly. //A gel on a mission today, are you?//
no subject
"I asked and, um, Groovy Tunes." Hmmm, groovy. "Eh...oh! Needed an assit-assis-aaa-ssistant." And she pointed at herself.
"Fridays~"
no subject
//Fridays, hm? You'd come in and sell music and keep th'place tidy, then?//
Oh, she had the job already, so far as Jonothon was concerned.
no subject
But she had a question. "How...do you sell music?"
no subject
//We exchange albums for money,// he explained. //Each one is priced, so you just charge people that much, and then put th'money into the register.//
no subject
So they didn't really sell music; Delirium was actually glad about that; selling the music itself sounded a bit of a stretch for any business. Exiting the counter, she glanced at the albums for a moment. "Can I, um, buy one?"
