Groovy Tunes, Friday 16

Del was feeling a little restless on her first day at work, and weirdly enough, it wasn't because of the job, no; she felt like she needed to be somewhere else. Maybe she could send some fishies to look for Dream? She wasn't sure she could pick up his presence of the island, mainly because it had never occurred to her that the Endless could do that -and since they had the sigils for a reason, the youngest Endless had forgotten that fact-. But she had to stay put and do her job. Delirium working would usually imply her chasing very visible music notes at the back of the store, but not today. Today she was bouncing behind the corner, looking at the door unsure of what to expect. She could totally leave a fishie on charge, they were so smart!

And yet she doubted the fishie would be able to give change to the costumes.

All in all, Groovy Tunes was open.

They had been touring the town, and it was with a great deal of restraint that Morpheus had not gone immediately to that other presence he sensed.

But he was here now, standing in the doorway and looking around, a bemused ~~modded!~~ Didi behind him.

"Hello, Little Sister."

Silence. Then a bit of eye squinting. Maybe a lot of squinting, and crouching behind the counter. Del's head popped up again. ""

Congratulations Dream, you just startled an Endless. Badly.

She lifted her head a little more. "You are here." Yes, she was having even more trouble to think clearly right now.

"We found him," Didi confirmed, a bit jauntily. "You wanted to give him music, remember?"

"We found him!" And she was only starting to put the pieces together. Delirium pretty much jumped from behind the stand to run at Dream, clearly intending to tackle her dearest and completely terrifying brother before she remembered he still gave her the jillie willies. She was also holding a CD with the songs she and Didi had picked, but she had forgotten about it for the moment.

First, tackles.

"I thought I found you," he protested, but allowed Delirium to do as she pleased. He would tolerate his sisters' antics (both of them) so long as it made them happy.

Delirium hug and hug and maybe even cried a little in silence; more like small sobs she couldn't quite explain, and would most likely be able to in the future. Her face was covered by Dream's robe. "It was, um, a team effort!"

Team D, of course.

"Howareyou??", asked, without the faintest intention of releasing him anytime soon. She was so scared, and so happy. Her hair was half blue and half red, with some green around the edges, shaking.

"I am well," he promised, hesitantly setting a hand on her shoulder. "Didi," and the name felt very strange in his mouth, "says you've been at school here a few months."

"Are you going to show me your store?"

Didi retreated a bit, watching her more volatile siblings with half an eye as she thumbed through a bin of jazz records. As long as they were getting along (and Delirium wasn't shaking too much), she'd let them just talk. She felt self-conscious, being a human in a room with two Endless; her heartbeat was very loud in her ears.

"Don't forget the t-shirts," she suggested, a bit inanely.

Delirium didn't really got to hear the heartbeat, and it was maybe from the best. Looking up at her brother -was she always so tiny compared to him?- and nodded vehemently. "It's a school but not really like a school the humans have although there are humans here there are other not-humans that also go to school but nobody else is like me although Didi is like me but not quite anymore because once in a while..." It wasn't as if she needed to catch up her breath, actually. "...whaaaaat was I talking about? The classes are, um, funny. Paint wars!" And she grinned at Didi for confirmation of how awesome was the only paint war they had had.

She then proceeded to get a hold of Dream's hand and show him the store. "I sell music, but not really", explained as she showed him the CD she was holding...and then she remembered. "...Happy birthday?"

"I think this makes me the first of our siblings to ever have a birthday," he mused, letting Del show him about. "Or at least an un-death-day."

"I counted one in February," Didi volunteered. "The body the universe gave me was turning 17, so I figured I should do something. It was nice. I went to Disney World."

She was editing the story a bit; she wanted Dream to meet Jono before she sprung 'surprise, I'm dating a mortal' on him.

"My birthday is in, um. December." So yeah Dream, you weren't that special. Besides the fact he was already dead an d getting birthday presents. Delirium's attention was dragged to Didi's words. "Barnabas was on Disney!" And then he got bored and returned to her...and then she sort of lost him again.

Del made an effort to put those thoughts away. "Happy Undeathday brother!"
