Caritas; Thursday Evening

Almost a week had passed and Chuck still wasn't feeling any better about the situation he had been put in. He was dealing, but he knew he had to get over this brooding thing soon, or at least learn to cover it. He hated people hovering over him and, let's face it, the emo thing was annoying, even to him.

He settled down behind the bar with a bottle of scotch, figuring that was a step in the right direction to get him in a better mood.

"That's right!" Dimitri remembered Adrian mentioning that at some point. And still, he should be good. Better than Rose, even. "I'm going to keep this knowledge in mind when I'm back in town and looking for decent vodka. But for now, a simple water with lime?"

Now that Dimitri didn't have to be responsible 24/7, he could afford to hang out with decent people at the bar. And it helped that Chuck shared values and friends.

"Yes. I will spend the weekend attacking students and trying to avoid getting beat up." He was actually looking forward to this.

"It is. I always win," Dimitri promised. "They always put up a good fight, but I haven't been killed yet - in fake terms, of course."

"Well, in general, violence is not fun. But this is high-intensity training meant to save lives and protect those weaker than us from very evil creatures," Dimitri explained. "We don't just go around hitting anyone." Rose.

"That's...unnatural. Some of my people train their whole lives and wait years between a real fight." They had a good deal of patience.
