The Junkyard, Friday Evening

To make a new lightsaber, one needed -- among other things -- metal for the casing. The junkyard had plenty of that. If she'd been anywhere at home, instead of in Fandom, Tahiri would have started doing this before now; she was a little surprised at herself that she hadn't yet, actually.

With boots on to protect her feet from any sharp and/or rusty edges, she was picking through a couple of piles near her X-Wing for likely prospects. There were other things she'd need, of course: the electrical components, a power cell, and the part she didn't have the slightest clue how to find just yet, the focusing crystal. Still, she might as well get started with what she could.

"Just be sure the crystal itself is intact," he said, pulling her feet into his lap and starting to massage them. "I don't think I could pull off the one armed thing as well as Tenel Ka."

Tahiri made a quiet, happy noise and leaned back against her hands. "If you think I haven't heard that story ten billion times by now . . ."

"I could do it in Dad's accent if you'd prefer," he teased.

"Don't you dare. I can practically hear him telling it if I think about it," Tahiri mock-threatened.

He grinned at her and continued massaging her feet. "If I had a credit for every time I've heard that lecture, I could buy my own StealthX. It's not fair I'm the only Jedi here without one, by the way."

"No, you just have the fancy shuttle and can actually take people out for rides," Tahiri pointed out.

And cue more blushing, since she remembered what had happened the last time they'd gone out on a shuttle.

Ben blushed as well. "Yeah, but Granddad keeps stealing it."

"That," Tahiri declared, "is what you get for having the fancy spacecraft around here."

[momslilassassin]

"Maybe I'll just tell Granddad to built his own," Ben decided.

[weetuskenraider]

"And take yours out for a spin?" Tahiri suggested. "It was, um, fun last time."

[momslilassassin]

Ben gave into his instincts to lean in and kiss her. Maybe it would distract her from the blushing. "It was," he agreed.

"So . . ." Oh, kissing was a nice distraction. Definitely. It didn't do much to keep Tahiri's face from cooling down, though. We should do it again?

Soon, Ben replied. We have a whole week off now...

So much free time. Tahiri, don't try to climb the boy. Whatever are we going to do?

Ben had no problem with a Tahiri in his lap. At all. Eat ice cream? Take a break from here?

Both at once? Sadly, it wasn't innuendo at all. Tahiri ran her fingers through his hair and nipped at his lip. We could go at it in the salle a few times, too.

Sadly, still not innuendo.

Even though your lightsaber is gone? Ben replied, distracted by the fastenings on her flightsuit.

Tahiri's Force-sense almost felt like she'd let out a sigh . . . or was it a happy whimper? I can probably get a hold of a practice blade for now.

His hands slid along skin as he nipped at her neck. You could borrow one of mine.

[weetuskenraider]

Are you sure you trust your blade in my hands? Tahiri might've been returning the favor with his clothes, now.

[momslilassassin]

Ben snickered. Yes? he replied, sliding his thumbs up her chest.

[weetuskenraider]

I made the last one explode, Tahiri pointed out. Innocently. Really.

Even while trying to get his shirt off.

[momslilassassin]

He was more than happy to lose the shirt, being too busy trying not to sporfle at the innuendo.

Did you now? he replied.

[weetuskenraider]

What innuendo? There had been sparks and blowing up!

Uh huh. Big time, Tahiri answered, nipping at his chest.

Ben leaned back to give her easier access and completely lost the thread of the conversation.

If you say so, he babbled.
