Groovy Tunes, Tuesday
Jonothon had done it again. He'd gotten up and out of bed, and he'd made his way into town (with his guitar, yes), and to the Groovy Tunes, where, with the exception of about an hour during the day that he was going to take off for class instead of the lunch break that he never needed, he would be around.
All day. Probably well past close, just because he could.
There was a Now Hiring sign up in the door, and Jono was behind the counter, idly picking at his guitar. And if he happened to give a special sort of reverence to Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah, then what of it?
The Groovy Tunes is open.
[And, as always, the OCD has been run through the paper shredder.]

"Hello?" he called nervously as he walked into the shop. "I -- was thinking we haven't practiced since the first time. I know it's been a horrble month, but -- would you still be interested?"
no subject
My, oh my, what a wonderful day.
//Christian, mate, I'll never turn down th'opportunity to play,// he replied. Which was... in some sense, accurate. Music was every bit an escape for him, and if somebody wanted to swing by to help him along, he wasn't going to send them away, exactly. //Take a seat? Or, if you prefer to stand...//

But stand he would, and he leaned against the counter a bit. "Do you want to keep going with what you were playing, then?"

"I think you should pick the song today, though," he said. "Especialyl if you have something you're thinking about anyhow."

He was going to put his foot down if anybody ever suggested he dress up as Ziggy Stardust, though.
no subject
"Do you know 'China Girl'?"

"Hello, Jono!" she called out in a sing-song voice. "Happy Tuesday!"
no subject
That wasn't a complaint, really. Merely an observation. Possibly for the conversational value.

//Well, we might have to get you to make a habit of this, then,// he decided. //Any Tuesday with an Ariel about is bound to be a good one, after all.//

Jono wasn't biased towards music in general, really. Much.
//It's been a quiet day thus far, though. I'll take it. No headaches, no weird buggers stepping in partway through my shift and asking too many nosy bloody questions. Just...// He gestured around to the contents of the building. //Music. Which is interesting enough to get me by, at least.//

Fear the dreaded mini-speech, for Delirium had shyly made her way in and now was shyly peeking to the other side of the counter, expecting to see Jono there.
And that was it. What else could she say anyway?
no subject
//... Delirium.//
That was sort of like hello. A kind of pained, quiet sort of hello.
no subject
"That sounded, um, good." It was her own musical appreciation and she was sticking to it.
no subject
For good reason. Jono didn't particularly enjoy migraines.
//What brings you in today, Delirium?//
As if he couldn't guess.
no subject
"Just...visiting?" Because she was, right? And checking on him, something she had not dared to do until that moment. Because of who she was, of what she was. She had pretty much tasted how Jono got dangerously close to peeking into her realm -in a way- for her to be anywhere close to him. Now he was...well, at least he wasn't crazy.
no subject
Actually, it would have been insane for him to be anything but. Delirium must have been imagining things.
//Just visiting,// he echoed, mildly. //Well. That's... good, I suppose.//
Truth be told, Jonothon wasn't certain if he was quite ready to face Didi's family, yet.

//Hello, Azula.//
no subject
"You seem off." When in doubt, be blunt.
no subject
//Bad week,// he replied, tiredly. //Very bad week.//
There was a pause, and then he looked up at her perhaps slightly apologetically.
//Which seems to be a bit of a trend, doesn't it, when you come to visit? I'm sorry, luv...//
Because he totally had control over the things that happened in the world around him. Sure, Jono. You keep telling yourself that.

//No hip-hop or metal, then,// he echoed, wrapping his head around the sudden left-turn in the conversation. He didn't have any complaints about it, really, but it was taking his brain a little longer to keep up, lately. //Anything that you know you do like?//
