John had decimated the population of the world five times before he headed to the bar, phone to his ear as he explained how effective the Rodney pandemic virus had been. "No, it's not multiplayer." He waved at Tino for a beer as he sat down, making faces at no one present.

"No, it's not better than our game." He rolled his eyes. As if disease was as cool as running dueling civilizations. "Yes, I'm sure they're doing fine without us."

He paused, eyebrow lifting. "No."

"No."

"Did you hear me say no twice?" John snorted, somehow smiling despite the exchange. "I'm hanging up now." At least Tino was quick with that beer.

John's made his way to the bartender side even if he's not an employee. What? Refills are needed.

Watch things from afar with your drink.

There is football!!!!!!!

I don't actually like football, but John does. Siiiiiiigh. Why must he hate hockey?

It wasn't really a surprise anymore to run into John here. Though when she saw him behind the bar, Jaina had to ask, "Are you sure you don't work here?" as she took a seat.

"Chuck made that perfectly clear," John assured her, even as he reached for the tequila to dangle in front of her. "And don't worry, the squirrels didn't force me back here."

"Hey, they didn't force me, exactly," she lied protested. "Why are you showing off the tequila?"

Antillar had been kind enough to offer Genesis a free drink which meant that, but of course, he was going to take him up on that offer.

First, though, he was going to give the... band... a long dubious glance.

If it wasn't one thing, it was another about this place, wasn't it?

He was taking that as a yes and poured a shot for her. "So you just like it when rodents tell you what to do?"

"So what do you want?" Max asked with a grin, ignoring the band as he considered his own drinking options.

"Something strong," he said, tearing his gaze away from the band to look incredulously at Antillar. "Why are there corpses in the bar?"

"At this point when they start herding me toward the radio station I assume there's no one else to do it, so I'm helping out," she explained. "They don't tell me what to do, they just... run around my feet a lot and send me in the right direction. This doesn't make me look any better."

"Don't really know," Max admitted. "They've been here the entire time I've been on the island. I try to think of them as local color."

"No, no it doesn't," he snickered. "They're what, the only things on the island smaller than you and not three years old?"

"Color," he repeated, making note to avoid them. "They're content to remain there?"

"Hey! ...Tahiri's still shorter!" Way to throw her under the bus, Jaina. Especially since she hadn't thought much about height and didn't know if Tahiri was still shorter. Jaina definitely hadn't grown any.

"Bet we could fix that with shoes," John pointed out, shoving her shot toward her.

She looked down at the shot and asked, "Is this supposed to make up for you being mean to me?"

John saw the redhead come in with Max, but he smiled in what he thought was a friendly manner and offered him a shot of tequila. "On the house," he said because he didn't feel like adding to Chuck's profits. "You're new, yeah?"

"No, it's supposed to get you drunk," he replied. "And then you can be mean to me."
