Groovy Tunes, Tuesday
Today was a busy day at the Groovy Tunes. Jono was alternating between unloading new CD shipments, browsing catalogues to see if he could feasibly order in musical instruments to stock alongside the albums, and picking through the racks to see if there were any songs that caught his fancy that he could shove at the somewhat piecemeal and still unnamed band that he'd been drafted into throwing together.
And then from the shelves to his guitar, to see if he could play along. And then from his guitar back to the CDs, to try to find songs that other people that he knew might enjoy. And then from there, he had songs of his own to try to polish up--
The Groovy Tunes is open, and Jono might not be a chicken with his head cut off, but he's at least halfway there already.
[And as usual, I shun the OCD! SHUNNNNN.]

And he'd chosen not to think too hard on it, as well. He hadn't really gotten any kind of flirting vibe, but then, he wasn't really looking for one, either. And it really wasn't any secret to him already that Raven was, or at least had been interested.
That said, not thinking on it too hard didn't mean that he wasn't going to be at least slightly awkward as she came in, closing a notebook that he was currently scrawling music into as he attempted to wrestle his way through a song that was being particularly difficult.
//Good day, luv,// he greeted, nodding and pushing himself to his feet. //It's treating you well thus far, I hope?//

When he had nothing to do, he tended to think. And that was even worse.

It was sometimes difficult to tell just what direction Jono was aiming for when you listened to the noise that he often chose to let blare on the speaker system, mind.

A lot.
//Would you like to take a look through th'selection with me, perhaps? Or did you have yer heart set on performing that Madonna number on Thursday?//r

So much music, so little time.

"Jono!" she called. "I'm not Dummy or Smelly or Bossy!"
Always a silver lining...

Sometimes, Jono wondered if the English that he grew up speaking was the same English that everyone else in his school spoke, accent notwithstanding.
//That's... good, right?//
Though he supposed he might have a case for the 'Bossy' bit, for all of the things that she managed to guilt him into with those big, adorable, ridiculously expressive eyes of hers. Damn them.

His Sunday shifts in the library were getting far too busy for him to have the energy to go to some sort of audition besides. And he wasn't exactly fit for a speaking role, in any case. Not unless he thought it would be amusing, somehow, to send unsuspecting people in the audience into fits over a sudden voice in their heads.
//It does sound like a bit of a good time, though.//

"I hope so! I'm really excited about it, although, clearly, not as much as Glee Club." But mostly because she got to be in charge of that one. "You should still check it out, though, if you're interested. Maybe they need some more stage hands and stuff like that."

It would likely be unpaid, but it would also be performing. For an audience. One that was probably not likely to be paying the most strict attention to him while they mingled about and waited for the second act.
He could live with that.
//What's th'director like?//

Music, clubs, jobs, school. For all that Jono was looking to throw himself bodily into every distraction in the universe, at the rate he was going, he'd wear himself out in no time.

Apathy Club. It nicely balanced out all of that glee.
//And from there, I like to stop into th'magic and support reserves at least occasionally, and Rinoa's got me trying to scrounge together people t'put on some sort of concert in Early November.// Speaking of... //What do you think about performing for a crowd on th'beach, in the evening, illuminated by a bonfire, luv?//
