Caritas- Saturday

Jaina had to work today, so no mixer for her. She wasn't sure how many people she'd get in here tonight with that going on, but at the very least she had a Zekk with her. One she was occasionally glowering at after she'd heard about him going to see John.

Everyone else would get a non-glowery girl, though. Probably. You never knew with her.

Zekk should have realized just the reaction that visit would get out of Jaina, but he'd gone and done it anyway. He was a little surprised she'd even bothered to give him his drink, even if it was just water, rather than letting the other guy do it.

"You're really that mad." He knew. He could feel it.

It was no surprise to Faramir that a day spent with his brother ended up at the tavern. Most days spent with Boromir tended to, at least, if there was a tavern near.

So he led the way to the bar and found them seats. "The wine really was good last time, but I am certain they have other things that should be good," he told Boromir.

"We'll have to try them all and find out," Boromir decided, scanning the massive array of bottles behind the bar.

It being Boromir, he might like it if Jaina were glowering at him. As it was, he leaned over the bar, studying her as much as the alcohol. "What would you recommend, my lady? I've been advised the ale's terrible."

"Are you planning to stay here for longer than two days then?" Faramir asked. "I do not think either of us will be standing if we attempt to drink all of that."

"It won't happen again," he assured her. "But I have to ask: the office across the hall?" Seriously.

"Don't be such a girl," he teased, clapping his brother on the back. "We'll drink all that and more if we set to it."

"And hope they'll let us sleep on the floor," Faramir added, knowing that he was more likely to wake up with the headache than his brother was. "So what do you want to start with?"

Zekk still had a feeling she was lying to herself, but that didn't surprise him. Especially when he knew why. And if she was insisting on friendship and John was convinced she wasn't staying... "I think you could maybe emphasize that word a little harder, just to make sure I get the point."

After fighting with Luke--again--Hermes found the nearest bar to get drunk good and proper.

Had to love the divinities that behaved worse than the people that worshiped them.

"Tequila, please," he said, propping his head up with his hand. "Might as well set the bottle by me. I've got a high tolerance."

"I'd be delighted to try some of your beer," Boromir decided. "I've heard that. But I must admit my brother may have been exaggerating..."

"Glory to me, there is a reason to celebrate this town!" Demeter announced, pleased to have found the bar and to have gotten away from her brother/son-in-law and his pirate impression for the evening. "One of your finest beers," she ordered from the maid, looking like quite the goddess of the harvest with her wheat-colored dress and sprigs of the stuff adorning her as though she'd just come from the field.

"I've a room at the very fine inn," Boromir argued. "Don't worry, little brother. I'll carry you there." He had to consider the bottles again, dismissing those that contained liquids of a color not found in nature. "That one."

It was whiskey.

"That is an understatement, my dear," Hermes said, unzipping the coat part of his track suit to get more comfortable. Yes, he was totally dressed like Sue Sylvester a gym teacher. A hot gym teacher. "My son is not my biggest fan."

Faramir leaned forward a little to read the label on the bottle. "Nothing I have not heard of it, but then I did not inquire about these sort of things."

He motioned towards Tino and gestured towards the bottle. A little while later, they each had glasses and Tino poured two fingers of the golden liquid in them. "They do not give you much," Faramir observed.
