When Jaina came in to work today, she found Tino sitting in the back room, drinking straight from one of the bottles he'd taken from behind the bar. "That kinda day?" she guessed.

He just glared, so Jaina went back to the bar, figuring it'd be a more fun work shift if she just left him there.

"You really felt the need for the cool refreshing taste?" Jaina asked, getting him a beer that definitely was Coors Lite.

Five years, and she still remembered how the damn Coors Lite spiel went.

"Who doesn't?" Deadpool asked, taking a sip of what amounted to water with some beer taste in it. "Ah, now that's what I like when I go out and talk to ladies. A classy beer. Kinda like a blue collar Zima."

A beat.

"Do they still make Zima?"

"I don't know. I'm not even sure what Zima is," she admitted, though she was tempted to look for it now.

Jaina frowned. "I'm so afraid of the fact that I'm not sure what that means, like I need to have it explained to me." That way could lead nowhere good.

"Aha. Sure we do." In fact, give it a few years and she'd be staying with some. Only good thing Karen Traviss ever did. Besides quit. "But I think I'm just sheltered enough to not know that a Zima would be an invitation for it."

"As long as they don't ask me to be a mascot for it," Deadpool replied. "I consider myself more of a Jäger man."

"And why would they ask you to be a mascot for it?" she asked. And if she was looking thoughtful, it's because she was trying to see him in a magazine ad for it.

Deadpool looked down at his Coors. "Sure, why not? I can double-fist 'em tonight."

Give him a moment.

"That came out wronger than anyone should ever wrong."

Oh, that made her stop laughing. "I did not hit on you!" she protested.

Deadpool made sad eyes at her. "You've never looked? I have message board threads dedicated to 'dat ass'! I'm the new Nightwing!"

Who the hell was Nightwing?

"It's not like I walk behind you," Jaina said, not wanting to see the sad eyes. "Who's Nightwing and what does he have to do with it?"

And that was just what DC wanted you to think. "Exactly. And my ass is just as nice." A beat. "As long as it's not drawn by Liefeld. No muscles that look like breasts for me, thanks."

...Was there a surreptitious way to look at his chest? No, no there wasn't, so it was kind of obvious that she looked to make sure everything was normal there. "Is this the girl typing away at the computer again?"
