The Perk, Saturday Morning
Sometime after Emma had gotten up, she'd gone off to the Perk. Today was clearly going to be a day that required caffeine, given the mental turmoil that was going on today.
Mocha. Glorious glorious mocha. Come to Auntie Emma.
[OOC: Open Perk is Open!]

Still, there was an adult and the boy approached her cautiously. "My lady?" he asked, his eyes fixed on the cup of coffee Emma was holding.

"I will, however, buy you as much candy as you wish until your parents come to claim you."
Emma was clearly going to the bestest mother ever someday.

"Hey," she sidled up to Emma's table with absolutely no reservations, "is that coffee? It smells like coffee. I'll bet it's coffee. I'm not supposed to have coffee because it makes me too hyper, but I don't think it really tastes good anyway, so why do you drink coffee if it doesn't really taste good? I'm Melody, by the way."
And then she realized that giving her name might have been a bad idea because then, if the lady knew who she was, she could get in trouble again.
"You don't know who I am, do you?"

This was utterly unfair.
"Your father is in London with your TÃo Sebastien at the moment," she said smoothly, pulling up her inner walls. "I have utterly no idea if they have Felix with them or not."
Spitefully, she hoped he did. Let him explain that to his vampire.

By marriage only.
Which meant that a surprisingly well armed child was going to dash into the perk and try to loom at Emma. "Where am I?" he demanded.

It was the kind of mood that only coffee, and lots of it, could cure.
Just the smell was doing her good really.

"Don't make Auntie Emma spill her coffee, darling," she chided, holding it up and away from the small child. "You know what happens when she doesn't get her fix."

*Mommy! Mama! Ma mere! Where are you?* she sent as loudly as she could. And, as the daughter of two telepaths and a witch, that was quite loudly indeed. *Mama! Ma mere! Mommy! I want to be found now!*

She sounded shocked when she sent back, <<Why are you looking for my mother?>>
She could have cared less about the other two. They weren't hers.

That he'd end up at the Perk was probably somewhat inevitable.
That he'd stay once he spotted a familiar face was a given, too.
"Aunt Emmaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!"
Look out, Emma. Incoming!

"Spill my coffee and I'll spank you for a week," Emma promised, holding out one hand to stop the child-shaped bullet. "Indoor voice, darling."

Look. That lady had cookies. Maybe if he smiled at her she'd give him some? (Not that it ever worked on Mommy.) "Hi!"

If it belonged to Jean and was wandering about, she was going to send it off to Mr. Summers.
