Caritas | Wednesday
When Nathan wandered into the bar that evening, he was feeling a little devious. And, until someone took pity on him and visited, he was going to take out that deviousness on Tino. So, he grabbed a glass and a bottle, leaned against the counter and announced they were gonna play Truth or Dare.
Tino seemed cool with it so after a few rounds of them both picking truth, Tino finally picked dare. With a smug, sly grin, Nathan proudly told Tino what his dare would be. And that was how Tino came to pour several cheap bottles of beer down his pants.
Nathan thought he was a fucking genius.

And that was the only answer he was giving because he had other things to do now.
"Truth or dare, Caroline?" He'd gotten momentarily off track but that was firmly corrected.

"Let's see," he said, tapping his chin. "I dare you to call up one of your friends from home, your choice, I don't care about that, and tell them something embarrassing as fuck. I don't care what you choose there either, I don't even care if you make it up."
Re: The Bar [Caritas 03/30]
She sat with a hand up to prevent him from talking to her while she listened. "Voicemail," she whispered before brightening her voice. "Hey Damon, it's Caroline. Just wanted to call and let you know I'm sitting in a bar, playing Truth or Dare. Embarrassing as fuck, right? Ciao bello."
Her phone snapped shut and she turned back to Nathan with a smug smile. "Done!"
Re: The Bar [Caritas 03/30]
So, he laughed and tipped the bottle of liquor back to get some more in him. "Bravo. And don't fucking act like you're not having fun. You are. I know you are."
He was the king of using immature games and places for fun.
Re: The Bar [Caritas 03/30]
She did smirk a little when she asked him again, "Truth or Dare, Nate?" Yes, she liked calling him that, and one day he would like it, too.
Re: The Bar [Caritas 03/30]
"Nathan," he said, shaking his head. "And gimme a dare, Caroline. Make it a good one. You were just talking yourself up and I'm not convinced you were being entirely truthful. Bring it."

"Fine," he said, pushing himself to his feet and trying to flick her ear before heading to the stage on somewhat wobbly legs. He stomped up onto the stage, leaned over to let the band in on what song he was going to sing and then stepped up to the mic.
He hated this fucking song and this fucking group but he wasn't going to half ass the song (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ftjEcrrf7r0&feature=artistob&playnext=1&list=TLvaDP5vX5Tog). It helped that his voice, while not superstar quality, wasn't awful so it made the song sound all right. His Irish accent was a lot heavier than Bono's though and he didn't mind acting like an ass on stage. The song didn't really lend itself to dancing but he made sure to make it seem like he and microphone were the best of friends. He used this long, lanky limbs to sort of slink and slither around the stage and even shot her several intense (were they Bono like? He didn't know or care) looks while he sang.
When the song ended, he dropped the mic on the stage and headed back towards her, grateful it was done.

"Ugh!" he said, shaking his hands one last time before getting over it. "Truth or dare, Caaaaaaaaaroline?"

Re: The Bar [Caritas 03/30]
"You want to up the ante of the game?" Nathan asked, raising an eyebrow and wondering if she really knew who she was talking to here. "All right, then. I think you should do a stripper dance. Right here in front of me. And I don't mean take off your fucking clothes. I meant the dance. Right here."
He leaned a little closer to her, lazy smile on his face. "Make me believe, yeah? I think you can."
How was that for upping the ante?
Re: The Bar [Caritas 03/30]
And then Caroline was stalking back, thinking she was hilarious as she pulled her hair back into a loose ponytail and started putting on a little show for him.
Skinny jeans were really useful sometimes. Especially when Caroline started in with a mini lap dance on the chorus.
Re: The Bar [Caritas 03/30]
"Jesus fucking Christ," he muttered, blinking quickly. All of his attention was on her, yep. He approved of the dancing even if the song was going to be in his head for fucking ever.

What an awesome and, at the same time, awful dare for him. He was glad to have see that but now he wanted more. Nathan decided that the thing to do right now was drink more so he did and that helped him calm down some.
"I kind of hate you for stopping," he joked, glancing over at her. "I'm sure I'll get over it in about five minutes but yeah, I hate you for stopping."
Re: The Bar [Caritas 03/30]
Re: The Bar [Caritas 03/30]
"That seems kinda masochistic, doesn't it?" he asked, smirking. "Besides, I told you before, I couldn't ever hate you. It's impossible for me. I don't have the ability."
Re: The Bar [Caritas 03/30]
Re: The Bar [Caritas 03/30]
"And nope, still don't hate you," he added, shaking his head. "You've got my complete fucking attention right now. I promise. Now, what you might do with that attention is up to you but its yours."
Re: The Bar [Caritas 03/30]
Re: The Bar [Caritas 03/30]
"I don't know if I'm ready to admit defeat yet," he finally said, still grinning lazily at her. "Why? You outta truths and dares? If you are, I'm sure we can declare me the winner and go on our with our night, yeah?"
So competitive.
Re: The Bar [Caritas 03/30]
Re: The Bar [Caritas 03/30]
"Dare." Sure, the possibility was there that he'd have to sing again but he was just hoping that she'd get more creative or risky or something. "Up the ante, Caroline. Let's see this good one."
