Town Hall, Sunday Morning

"Thank you for coming here at such short notice," Cable began. He had called everyone here by ways of radio broadcast, and now he was standing upright and at the front. He looked about ready to kill something with his bare hands. "Let's keep this short. We've been in the middle of an invasion since this Friday. Now our children have been kidnapped. We won't stand for this."

He had a big gun strapped to his back that said he really wasn't standing for it.

"We've learned of some potential entrances to the castle, where we suspect the children are held," he continued. "Volunteers will be sent out to test the entrances and get our kids back. Any questions?"

Hey, he'd said he was keeping it short.

"Blossom, hey," Iceman smiled at her. "I'm all for that," he agreed with a nod.

"Great." She grinned back. "I'm going to try to go with one of the groups that has parents in it. I know that they're all professionals, but if something happens... it will be good to have someone on the team who's not as close."

Iceman nodded. "I was thinking of asking Cable," he nodded over at the mayor.

Blossom looked over, then nodded. "Start at the top! Good idea. Plus, uhm, I'd almost be more afraid of him getting out of control than any of the others." It was probably the guns. Or the glowy eye.

"He does seem... crankier than usual," Iceman had to admit. Not that he'd seen the man ever look especially cheerful, but. "Which is understandable, all things considered."

Blossom nodded. "I'm actually surprised the parents didn't just get together themselves and take off after the villains." Surprised and pleased.
